thanks for your comments..
The speakers work quite well, with the room not being solely for watching movies the speaker setup is always going to be compromised in some way, if the speakers had been put at head height, i find they are too close, personal preference tho.
some of the stuff came from john lewis including the desk chair, and yes its very comfy
.
i don't suppose the mods will mind links to john lewis as it aint a direct competitor!!

All of the joinery (desks, cupboards etc) were custom built (me dads a joiner which is great news!!!).
The monitor next to the cupboard is linked up to one of the pc's in the cupboard, it very rarely gets used as i remote desktop into the other 2 to set off rendering tasks etc but its there just in case its needed.
The window sill is full of herbs at the moment, basil, corriander, parsley, chives, and cress all from seed (nothing to do with computers or work but hey there you go!)..
Yes it cost a fair bit, wouldn't know where to start adding it up really as its all been got at different times, the oldest kit being the amp and speakers, the amp was brand new 5 years ago and the speakers were bought off a friend of mine second hand cos he was upgrading to smaller form factor cos the wife didn't like'em. The tv is probably the biggest one off purchase coming in at close to £2000 last autumn. The pc's are custom built so they didn't cost the earth, although the first of the quads was about £1200 for just the base unit. The wood cost a fair bit more than bog standard mdf but i likes me real wood..
cheers
