The large keyboard and the G5 are for the PC7 system on the desk, as is the Dell 19" and the DVI input on the VX922. The small keyboard and beige mouse are for the VGA input on the VX922 and the system uder the desk.
Compared to the last desk arrangement I have almost twice the space, and it's a much nicer and cleaner area to work (uni) and play.

thanks folks for all your kind comments.

Thanks for answering all that :) The chair looks very nice, is it as comfy as the bigger sort of 'executive' types ?

But one more thing i forgot to ask, i don't understand the need for all the PC's ? There is probably something i'm missing :o

I've got to say that is one of the nicest setups i've ever seen though :)

basically the chair came about cos i wanted shot of the traditional office "wheelie" type chair.... yeah its very nice, sometimes the exec. chairs are two "laid back" if you know what i mean...

the need for all the PC's.. 3d rendering involves as much processing power as you can buy.. its like a little personal arms race between the 3d software and the hardware, you buy a computer, do some rendering, then to speed up the rendering times you buy another box, or a faster box, then you turn the settings up in the 3d software to produce better looking images and you find yourself back at the start again re render times and the whole thing starts over again.... hence u end up with lots of very fast boxes!!!

thankfully the 3d rendering software allows for network rendering where all the PC's can be utilised.. Consider a frame from an animation at dvd resolution can take 10 to 20 minutes to render, and there are 25 frames per second of animation, or 1500 frames per minute. and an A3 300dpi print can take upto 20 hours to render!

cheers

if u envy 3, then what about 7? the original 4 pc's i had as a render farm were in ATCS200's too.. u can see 3 of them now standing under me desk, and the 4th is in the corner behind the plants plugged into the big tv acting as a games console for stuff like half life 2 and supreme commander. Don't panic tho, i only paid full price for me first atcs200 over 5 years ago now! i got another one off a friend, swapped one for a couple of antec sonate (the piano black ones) and got the rest off ebay at various times for considerably less than original retail!

that dosent make me feel any better :(

all the best with the work/business you're obviously doing well :) keep up the good work. loving that site

Intresting ! Never knew that TBH. Very nice website, looks very professional :D

As for the chair, it does look like it could be quite comfy, but i'm not to sure about the arm rests. It does look miles better, but is it actually as comfortbale as the bigger chairs ?

What amp and speakers are they? Are those hd595 headphones?

They're HD555 headphones, amp seems to be a NAD C320BEE and the speakers are Tannoy but I'm not certain which model.

^ The man knows the names! the speakers are M3 Cherrys leaded with a pair of NVA LS2 btw ;)

i love the look of that antec P180 case....but after owning a thermaltake Xaser III for the past 3 or 4 years, i just can't be bothered with another big case. A shame really.

Mine is a P182 but the size is the same as 180 - its not that big really! it's looks make it seem like a slim server style case and it actually looks smaller than it is in the flesh! in fact it's even slimmer than my old Tt Aguila case sans the funky opening door :p

@ mofnet

you sir have one of the biggest personal computer collections i have ever seen, plus one of the best setups i've ever seen, but i must ask why do you need so many?
