Just had a random thought, building an extension next year which will have a custom made pc room... I was sitting here day dreaming about it..... just what colour to go!! Think black is sumin different ??
If your gunna be using it everyday then you want a lighter colour.

My rooms got grey walls and a black carpet floor (not the best choice as a techie who works from home a lot xD) but wooden flooring in a bedroom isnt nice.
They grey and black is nice. My ceilings white too.

All very well if the lights are off when your in there but if your gaming your gunna want the lights on

A few years ago I divided my large L shaped bedroom to make a small home cinema/computer room at one end , walls were painted a medium dark shade of green, & ceiling also a lighter shade of green.
Surprisingly it worked quite well, got no glare off the walls, gaming was great as was watching films via a projector.
DWorrall Why you want lights on, I never do, as i use a usb desk lamp to light keyboard.

a few peeps painmt thiers black or grey, cant remeber for sure but when dell first diid the wide screen monitors the 2407/2005 i think a few graphic artists on hrdocp forums ppainted thier pc room dark green, grey or black and properly calibrated thier screens. bit ott but thats how some peeps are
aye my room is white now, and as i game in the dark till early hours much easier to make a dash to the loo as well, lick of white paint helps illuminate the room when the lights are off
