I could never have my machine under the desk like that. I would put a foot right through that side window by day 2.

Spot on. Also, being only 5'4" with stumpy legs, I don't get anywhere close to the plugs (or the PC for that matter). I did have the drawers on the right with the PC next to it facing towards the camera, but I got sick of seeing the youngest resting his knees on it or kicking it when getting excited/angry on COD. The current arrangement is a little harder to reach the power button, CD drives or headphone sockets, but I can see though the case window without climbing under the desk, and I'm not worried about the kids damaging it now. Worthwhile trade off in my opinion. :)

Those doors face into the dining room. The back garden is behind me. When I went to 3 screens and needed a bigger desk, the conservatory was the only room I could fit into. Hasn't worked out too badly but playing Left for Dead in the dark, then the cat landing heavily on the conservatory roof above you from the bedroom window does require a change in underwear first time it happens!

Just waiting for one of the kids to go grow up and move out, then I'll relocate the whole thing to a bedroom and take over the whole room. It'll be a good few years, but I'll be back here with pictures when it finally happens. :)

Only bought it caue I loved R:FoM. best game I hav ever played (better than any PS1/PS2/PC game yes :P). In fact, I sold all the games I don't play bar Resistance 1+2. Will get Resistance 3 collector's edition HANDS DOWN!
 
here is a slightly older set up , the monitor broke and thus i now have a 32" tv in its place instead, printer is no longer there and ive instead is a massive stack of dvds and games :)
as well as my xbox 360
will post another more upated picture when i can.
