Bought a new mouse mat that was described as desk sized, You know your desk is big when an XXL mouse mat looks small on it. Just need a nice amp now to replace the hifi and a decent 27" monitor.

It was from ebay, but I can't remember which seller as it was a few years back, but there are loads of sellers to choose from doing oak tops. I added a round over on the top edge and oiled it with Osmo Acacia top oil, which has a small amount of brown pigment in it to give a warm richness to the oak. Not a big fan of using danish oil as it tends to turn the Oak yellow.
Just search for RGB LED Strip on any well known auction site. they come in lots of different lengths

Ooooh, strafe and m65 user
I've recently got both of mine, strafe silent?
I'm using usb powered strips on tv/monitor (around £5-8). They power on whenever the screen is on, but they also have a power button on the cord etc. Simple and effective for me.
Below the desk i just have one long rgb strip (around £20)
