Destiny 2... It's a coming!

So...im confused. They're charging us £40.00 to fix things that people told them were crap before the game even launched?

I don't think so, fixes that change the base game (weapon rolls, slot changes etc) will just be a standard update you only pay the money if you want the content.

That's a very underwhelming road map. Fitting with the rest of the game to date.

Time to uninstall...
Just out of interest, what would you have liked to see in the roadmap? As it has a lot of the content the community has been asking for. Agreed, that the launch of D2 was very underwhelming compared to final state of D1. However, in the beginning of D1 the first proper paid DLC (The Taken King) was also make or break. Funnily and sadly enough, we are in exactly the same position with D2 and this Foresaken DLC.

Absolutely not defending Bungie here, but I think that the 2.0 patch and the direction of the DLC looks good. It’s just 12 months late.

I'm confused what this game is?

MMO, coop game or else?
It's an FPS, with some minor RPG and MMO elements. Think a Halo / Borderlands cross, with small scale co-op (3-6 players depending on activity)

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Alarm bells started ringing for me when the first paid DLC landed just 2 months after console release. It's turning out to the be same old story again; game incomplete on release, Bungie acknowledges it, then Bungie appeases the community by releasing patches and DLC's to change the game into what it should be.

The sales department at Bungie must be laughing all the way to the bank. Re-releasing D1 features in a paid D2 DLC, genius.

I'm gonna jump in and catch up over the next few weeks, so i'll be in a better position to judge whether the next DLC is worth it, but on the face of it I just can't see it (hopefully I'm wrong).

Based on the changes they made in D1 it seems to me vanilla D2 should have come with a lot of this.

I like the game, its fun with a group more so than solo and I have put a disgusting amount of hours in so far lol Hyped for September

Can I play it single player?

Can I play it single player?

The campaign is single player, but you will see other players in the public zones.

I haven't played D2 since I finished Warmind. I love the game play, the social aspect, but as a casual player I find the gear drops and general stuff to do lacking. I don't get pumped about drops, most weapons are much of muchness.

I may level a new character class for a change and play through again. I did enjoy the campaign.

So it's basically like The Division.

Yes, and there's matchmaking for some of the content. It's just the end game content like Raids (think better versions of Division Incursions) that you'll need to find a team for.

That is the biggest pull of the 2.0 update for me. The change to weapon slots / mods and addition of random rolls, should make gear drops meaningful again. At the moment there is still a big "chore" element of getting loot.

Definitely the personal. I got all the others which were around 350 light level but not the powerful.
Had a quick look on reddit etc. And it looks like I'm not alone although some people had it go straight in to their inventory.

So has anyone got an exotic catalyst yet? I'm rank 43 with Dead Orbit, determined to get that tonight so I can work out the FWC one next time

Think most have either Graviton Lance or Sunshot catalyst now. Grinding to unlock it is about as fun as grinding to Faction Rank 50 :)

I still don't. I keep going for it but getting burned out of doing the same thing over and over again for very little gain. Can't wait til it's over. I don't even like the graviton lance that much either, lol.

I have the sunshot catalyst unlocked - its brilliant fun.

I wore all FWC armor, did a PE then a LS after - killed the boss only then repeated the whole thing. Was getting around 200 tokens an hour.

Been doing more Spire as well, getting the time down, woop.

I quite like what they did with the Renown system, but because they left everything else the same, farming lost sectors is still the most efficient method. So we essentially do the same as every other faction rally, but slower due to renown.

I would like to see the rallies lasting longer than a week and the activities extended to strikes and raids. Then have a daily bonus for faction tokens, e.g. one day is PE’s, one day is Strikes, one day is Crucible etc. Would be nice to see them mix it up a bit, avoids the repetitiveness. I also think the faction armour set should be purchasable at Faction Rank 5-10 ish for shards or glimmer (at 10 Power Level) Kinda ridiculous that you get bonus tokens with the whole set, but by the time you get the whole set you’re rank 30ish anyway.
