If you are talking about Prometheus lens then yes it’s been nerfed to hell. Pretty much useless in crucible but still ok in pve.

So the dawning has started, snowball fights was pretty fun though lol.

Tried to finish the lair 1 raid last night but couldn’t get the last boss down. Spent a good few hrs trying and was very close to nailing him. Didn’t help that a couple including me were new to the raid itself but we soon managed to work it out.

Will have to try again later this week I guess

I imagine there were some salty people on the opposing teams last night. So funny to just fire and forget and then see the kills roll in.. :D

As suspected the Dawning itself is just a micro transaction filled mess with no actual new content (the only new stuff seems locked behind the new Dawning loot boxes - I also note they have added an exotic ghost which provided additional loot from public events, only available through the loot boxes.... cosmetic only my ass). Snow ball fights during strikes is fun in of itself but that only lasts so long (to be fair taking out the strike boss using only snowballs was fun).

Still the banter makes the game far more enjoyable than it deserves to be.

Are we still up for some retro raids w/ challenges? I know Astaley, Mak & JP were down. Not sure of exact timings but I will be free most evenings during the holiday period (I finish up today). Could you let me know availability and I will pencil something in. :)
 
Don't know if anybody is about tonight but I'll be up for doing some raids, tomorrow and Friday will be with the missus and won't be on much through the Xmas period.

I be around Probably on the 28th, 29th and the 30th :)

@OweO I recorded that clip of me killing a pole dancer with my throwing knife and swording people out of their supers :D bet the salt was flowing lol.

That's not strictly true, the seasonal stuff is inside bright engrams which are earned as they always were. Plus you can get items from the daily gifting quest. But too much stuff is behind Eververse, and is probably required for you to buy something if you're one of those people who like to complete sets of gear.
 
I see the Destiny forums are in an uproar over the Eververse.

Personally I'm not too fussed about it but I hope it results in changes because the overall game is a shadow of Destiny 1.

It's a shame because my brother wouldn't play D1 and keeps trying to get me to raid in D2 but I can't motivate myself to want to log in anymore. Serves him right for not getting onboard when things were good. :D
 
No it is more than just cosmetics. The store also contains boosters and ghosts which affect (albeit to a small degree) gameplay itself.

The main issue however is that there is so much within the Eververse store that should have been rewards from simply playing the damn game. Where for example are the ghosts, ships, and sparrows that used to drop from raids? Oh thats right, money...

In a loot based non F2P game which is distinctly lacking in end game relevant loot, having a significant portion of items (that could otherwise BE endgame collectables) being stuck behind a paywall is a ******* joke.

D2 is an utter mess right now (a perfect example being the writers on CoO seemingly forgetting half of the lore that already existed) and Bungie have no goodwill left anymore to act like they can simply ignore the problem.
 
Hey guys, just recently both me and gf started destiny 2 and just finished the expansion. Is there an ocuk clan we could join? Looking to start on raids and with random fireteams didnt have any luck yet
