Destiny 2

The first thing I'll say is that the base game is far superior and way more fun than vanilla D1. The missions are longer, bigger and less linear. Even the areas in which the missions take place are vast and open, rather than simply run down a corridor into the next room. There is also much more variety outside of the main story compared to D1 and in general it does feel less grindy, which is always a good thing :)

I'm interested to know how the raid turns out!
 
Level 14 now. Still really enjoying it and want to continue the grind! When do strikes appear? Wander if Xur will appear this weekend, shame i've nothing for him.
 
Managed to get some crucible games in last night which was great felt smooth and held my own :) didn't notice the player drop being an issue either
 
Got to level 12 (or 13) last night, 141 power level. Was hoping to play more but I am knackered atm, getting everything done at work before 2 weeks off = brain drain.

Mrs was a little way behind at 125 PL. Got our asses handed to us doing a Cabal public event on Io (Ikora planet). The overhead ship combined with the constant add spawns and being underleveled = very quick death. Annoying we did get the thing to around 90% before the timer run out (kept getting killed).

Absolutely loved the Cayde missions.

Mission structure and overall polish is a vast improvement over D1. Just being able to kick the next mission off from wherever you are is a major plus point.

Should finish the story in the next day or so and then look at grinding hard to be raid ready. :)

Every time I try to do some crucible I just sit in orbit for ages, I've never managed a match yet. It just says evaluating or searching for guardians.

I played some Quickmatch games first day and a couple of Competitive games yesterday and they have all been OK so far lag wise, took some time for the Competitive matches to fill up but hopefully that's finding the best connection etc.

Also I guess most people will be caning the campaign this early.

Done a few, takes 3-5 minutes but as mentioned above, people are probably working through the campaign.
 
I've managed one crucible match any other time I've tried it fails to match make.

Really liking the new free roam style of the game and the cut scene story telling. Like others have said it does feel like a polished destiny 1.

That's because they are having to evaluate the available maps for "Mach falling zones".. :p

Quinnaay - I was talking more about the story missions and not having to go to orbit to do anything. I will quite happily take the current adventure process over what we got in D1.
 
I completed two quick-play and two competitive crucible matches last night without any issues on the Xbone, other than being sat in the queue for a few mins or so.

I've only got as far as the farm so far, but have stopped off there to grind the crucible to level up and get hopefully some better gear (currently only level 4).

When we tried last night, if we were in a Fireteam it would just sit there and not do anything. The second we all tried individually we got in to Crucible straight away. I'm finding it REALLY laggy though :( The main game seems fine and I have zero issues playing R6:Siege or anything else but this always has my connection bar right at the bottom.

Have they tweaked the Golden Gun too? I cannot hit anything with it, make it all the more rage inducing seeing how long it takes to charge up.

Exactly. Hated doing a mission in D1 then going to orbit then to the tower, rince and repeat. This is much better.

My hunter is level 20 Power level 249 :)
 
Keep getting crashes back to the xmb. Happened twice today now........ :-(

Now failing to sign in saying servers not available. This game is a mess of bugs and server issues.....

Are you in a standard or pro? I've got a normal ps4 and I've played it for more hours than I care to admit and not had a single crash or bug.
