*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Yeah waiting for update at the moment....hopefully not too long...grrrr

Pretty sure it checksums all existing files before the download, hence the annoyingly long wait.
 
Right got to the actual download bit and attempted to find a better "connection" (showing as 4+ hours remaining) and now I am back to 0% preparing to download again....
 
Moe I'm going to edit your list a bit as I did infact miss ZG's post and he put his name forward before BlueBear, if I'm wrong on any of this somebody please let me know:

Wednesday 9pm - King's Fall - PS4

Bluebear, we usually run through the raid in around 2 hours and that's with new people. If for some reason we don't finish, we will pick it up later in the week. I've not had a run at the raid yet that we haven't finished, we'll get you through it if the spot opens up I promise.
 
Good raid tonight chaps in spite of my terrible jumping :/

I'm happy with my 308 doom of chelchis and 310 chest piece. Also got hand cannon, sniper and gloves but will probably use them to infuse stuff.

Good run last night, despite the update delay. Just the usual hiccups on Deathsingers...so unforgiving that fight...I can only assume it is preparing us for HM (no choosing runner on Oryx?)

Got some 300 armour (boo), a slightly better shell (306) and a 304 pulse rifle...plus another fusion for infusing things. Just got the solar vendor 1000 yard stare so that'll help bump it to 310. Most importantly....got my Touch Of Malice :)

You guys realise I barely fired a shot at the sisters or oryx? No need when all you guys had ToM....easy mode. Next time :cool:
 
DPS certainly wasn't an issue for us on the Sisters.... In fact we would have probably been fine going to the kill/kill run instead of 10%/kill/kill.

Netted myself the terrible Fusion (Blank Spindle says thank you), terrible boots (stupidly I sharded these instead of infusing on my Titan), Decent Rocket Launcher, Decent Chest piece (infused into my better non raid one), 310 cloak (yay!) and finally another pulse which has made my Suros very happy.

A reasonable return given my past runs. Still no ghost shell though.

DPS with ToM is ridiculous, the jumping is still a problem but it is nice to not have to worry about the DPS. Even Oryx was staggering without much issue. I think as people are getting more used to the raid and we all have much better weapons it wont be long until people are running back to back raids.

You did much better than I with the drops then. For the whole raid I got 300 boots which I already had 300 raid boots, 305 Fusion rifle which I infused in to my 1000YS and my double drop at Oryx? Well that netted me mouldering shards and 300 Gauntlets even though I already have 307 raid guantlets :( The only good thing that came from the raid is infusing mt 1000YS got my up to 303 light in raid set up. Also I suppose the duplicate armour drops even though at 300 can infuse my alts but they all have have 29X armour so not much of an increase.

Cannot believe how much of a difference ToM makes in the raid, last night with 4 of them the sister went down in no time at all. Well second go, as the second sister seems to have a habit of not turning round to face you so you cannot hit crits :p The only issue is remembering not to use it when you get transported into the void, as there no health regen in there :p

My main issue is the drops, for me its gone back to VoG rates :(, on last night one I got the autorifle (300) and boots (302) everything else was shards. They really need to fix the exchanging of 20 shards for 2 after Oryx, and the hunt for the ghost shell goes on.

The fact that two mouldering shards can be in the "double drop" look table is beyond stupid.

I made sure to switch from my Malice back to my Raid Pulse for Oryx. I would have killed myself otherwise....

I *think* we're set tonight, I haven't seen a definitive yes from Blue just yet so if you could let us know for sure if you're up for it that'd be great thanks =) It'll probably be just before 9 when I'm on so it might make sense if somebody else starts the party and invites me in.

Hey guys, sorry to do this but I won't be able to make it for the raid, have a horrible cold right now just going home from work and going too bed. Apologise, I'll try wake for 9pm and see if you have found a 6th if not I'll try get on.
