*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

Man got to Crota with ease tonight and just had the same bugs as Monday where it was just not possible to get a clean run, had to call it a night as seem pointless wasting heavy ammo synth when enemies were warping and Crota was jumping up from the kneel spontaneously.

Really need Bungie to increase the vault as its becoming impossible to move weapons between my characters

Would be up for NM crota 31 warlock/hunter depending on what's used in tomorrow run. If it's HM my 32 Titan has already done it twice this reset, so I'll leave it for others who havent done it, unless your short on numbers and want help, after all practice makes perfect :D

Nomal or Crota HM is fine by me. I can only run to 6PM as I have a meal out at 7. No doubt I will be back online at 9ish though. :) I wouldn't mind trying to get the Pulse & auto rifle at some point as well.

We all still on for tonight chaps? You may have to excuse me coughing and sniffing.

Still on for me. Looking forward to it. Had trouble finding your PSN last night but I'll look again Tonight. :cool:

One thing you can try, if you haven't already is to go back to orbit and restart the encounter again (can be another drain on your heavy ammo). This has work for us a few times when the runs start to get buggy, and always manged to get it done on the restart.

Yeah I was just about to post this.

Most of the glitches in Destiny aren't bugs at all, just artifacts of the networking engine they use. The simulation runs individually on every client so that you get perfect hit detection etc.....but it does mean that each of the six clients are running a very slightly different version of the world and is constantly getting updates from the host to correct things so every one is in sync on the important stuff like enemy positions/health, boss actions and the like.

If you're seeing a lot of glitches it's likely the host for whatever reason is struggling to get updates out to all the clients. Switch fireteam leader, go back to orbit, and try again.
 
Do only primary weapons drop during HM? I've got all the primaries now but still haven't got Hunger of Crota so do I need to be running it in normal for that to drop?
 
It does feel like it.

I was hoping for Blackhammer and I got the scout. Everyone else all got primaries only, except for exotics. Looks like I'll need to run normal at some point this week for another 2 chance at Blackhammer.

p.s My hunter is nearly level 32... nearly!

Congrats! I was a bit miffed that I didn't get any weapons at all. In fact, I only got shards and energy up until Crota, then got a helmet, sparrow and my second Dragon's Breath. Looks like I'll need to run HM again this week on my alt Hunter to try and get Word of Crota :)

It was a decent run though, all in all. Crota himself really is quite simple now. We would've had him on the first attempt if I hadn't screwed up the jump on the last sword. After that, we had a couple wipes due to the Swordbearer hiding, then a number of wipes due to lag - it was funny hearing people saying that the crystal in the start room had vanished, whereas I could see it fine. Was like you were all on drugs or something :D (I wasn't fireteam leader, I'd just like to add..).

Another laggy moment was when no-one was shooting the Swordbearer, so I had to chase after him with rockets, only to get myself killed. Then I found out that for everyone else, he was stuck in the doorway and not moving. Seemed to sort itself out though and we took Crota down pretty easily after that. :)
 
That is it with Crota's fight, if no errors, it's dead simple with the strategy we've used. It's only when there's little glitches, that's the main reason we wipe. Either way, I'm blaming you and request that you stop downloading pr0n during Raids :p

What's the make-up of the team like for tonight? I'd prefer to take my level 31 Titan through to try and get him some armour.

I actually managed to have dinner last night while you, Schnippzle and Write finished off the bridge section :D
