Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Square Enix Reveal new Deus Ex)

Haven't tried with the more recent patches but this is what I was recommending before:

As I mentioned in that post some settings only make a 1-2% performance difference on average but seem to be the difference between the game feeling fairly smooth and feeling like performance is all over the place.

I'm not sure if they've fixed the rendering issue with very high shadow quality or not - one of the updates resulted in random holes appearing in the shadow map in places sometimes with horrid haloing of the shadow edges in places.

EDIT: Some suggestions that very high shadows render correctly in DX12 but still bugged in DX11 - not sure if that is right though.

Thanks, Rroff. I'll take a look later.

I think I'm getting there just by trial and error, though in one instance I saw it drop to as low as 28 fps. Quite often it's good performance, but it does dip into the 30s now and again.

Edit: just tried your settings and although early days, performance looks to be great. It still looks superb as well. Cheers.

Sorry for bump but curious how this game supporting 21:9 and 3440 x 1440 resolution when coming to the UI and all ?? Did it get patched properly in the end, or is it still problems with hit boxes and markers no showing where they should ??

Still never completed it despite being a huge DX fan - I find it quite inaccessible a lot of the time due to poor UI and mechanic fragmentation plus lack of sensitivity scaling when ADS.

Yea I played the previous game through a few times, but I got about 15 minutes in to this one over a year ago and just never went back to finish it.

I got about 15 minutes in or so and had to re-arrange all my abilities and weapons, etc. to a natural feeling setup to play with then got maybe an hour on and had to rearrange everything yet again and was just like nope can't be dealing with this. It isn't like character building and tweaking, etc. I spend a lot of time playing The Division and played the original game more than 7 times over its how poorly designed everything is with like 3 different screens for changing between weapons and weapon ammo/capabilities and attachments, etc. of which like none of them have anything in common with the others despite overlapping functionality - it almost makes me want the dumbed down mechanics in Invisible War.

Not a bad story but gets repetitive, A few bugs game mechanics needs some work but never got done. is it worth the money now at 5.00 or less yes.

I enjoyed the game but it's paced poorly and adding to that it's not that long considering the other games. I thought the story was about to ramp up and go to the next level but it just kind of ended. It feels like a movie where they decided to split it into 2 at the last second.

Yeah. Definitely. Then after that they announce they are going to move the dev team another project due to this not selling enough :(

Knowing that we are getting Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt in the near future definitely softens the blow however :)

I bought it for peanuts back in November, and so far, I've only played two hours but I know that once I resume playing, I'll start putting more time into it. It's still too early for me to make much of a judgment on it, apart from where its visual quality is concerned.

Played 39 hours and enjoying it greatly ! Taking my time as I'm exploring everywhere, at main mission 6 for the moment. I have noticed that the devs seems to enjoying placing things in all kind of strange places though. Putting a weapon modification in a large box and hiding it with 2 smaller infront of it and such. :p Even found a praxis kit in a small box on top of a kitchen unit of all places !

Since they been cheeky I been removing all boxes to see if there is things and found this, unfortunately can't pick it up though.

And a closer look at it, incase it's not recognized in the above picture. :p

And I think I am looking up on the buildings more then I do looking where I am going, just to see if there is an apartment I can "break in" to ! :o  :p

Might go back to this actually. The Pallisade Bank place was very cool. They just shot themselves (and their fans!) on release with the broken broken performance issues and the superfluous game modes. Just can't buy PC games on release anymore, although this slideshow was a worse mess than most on release. It's a shame, as some of the content was brilliant, but many will not have made it that far.

I never really considered the performance issues, etc. the worst problems with the game - though the mouse input as per release was horrid and last I checked they still hadn't fixed some issues like ADS scaling.

The game mechanics and UI are just too fragmented and sometimes not intuitive and often not unified in approach either - what works for one thing might not work for another - making it a chore or just frustrating to play.

I was in Prague a few months ago on a city break (great place) and seeing all the buildings kept reminding me of this game :D

You are the only person I have seen who says this (repeatedly) :p
