Deux Ex: Mankind Divided. DX12, Async shaders and Tress FX 3.0 support at launch.

It's all about the shiny ! ;-) :-P

Yes, buying it for dx12 and I am not ashamed to admit it lol. (But I will not be buying it full price)

I bought Crysis 1 just for DX10, Same for some of the first games to use DX9 and even DX11, It's what we get these expensive GPU's for, To see new things :)

You don't think the cheaper GPUs will support DX12?

I'll no doubt use DX12, I'm just not worried about using it ASAP.
I'll hopefully get to try Vulkan too, if they add that into Dota 2 I'll try it there, because I already play Dota 2. I'm not going to buy Bass Fishing Simulator 2016 as soon as the pre-order shows up just because it supports Vulkan though (it's fine if you like fishing simulators!).

Sounds like people just want another benchmark to be able to argue about. "Nvidia doesn't do as well as AMD, Nvidia fail" or "AMD doesn't do as well as Nvidia, the developers hate AMD and are taking bribes from Nvidia" sort of things.

Despite multiple attempts I couldn't get into the last deus game at all, will try again with this one though.

I'd wager this will be getting thrown in with amd cards too, so be plenty of cheap keys on the mm :D

Benchmark will be interesting if they work the async hard and we can see if that really does add up to a lot in DX12.

It needs to actually make a difference to the end results as well not just do something that's already doable in a different way. Giving one brand an advantage over the other for nothing notable is not of interest or needed, There's enough of that already.

Is there also a DX11 version coming? That's the only way we would be able to tell if DX12 makes any performance difference.

Feb sounds a bit early for this, I'm betting it'll get pushed back to beginning of May for PC at least.

The release date was announced quite recently though (i.e. not years before the actual release). And considering they've got a whole pre-order scheme surrounding the idea of unlocking the game a few days earlier, hopefully they feel pretty concrete on the release date.

Square Enix has some pretty good PC titles under their belt, and they tend to be fairly decent PC ports also  That new Hitman (starting) the end of this year, Deus Ex: MD the beginning of next, then the new Tomb Raider whenever that comes out/looses console time exclusivity.

I'll be grabbing this if it doesn't get dumbed down.

:cool:so

I must have missed the news. Whats this about dx12 and crossfire? Why don't you need profiles?

DX12 mgpu support is suposedly in the hands of the devs, they need to write support into the engine/game, not Nvidia/AMD.

What route that takes sponsored titles remains to be seen.

Quoted for truth (the abbreviation is apparently a naughty word here?), except that I will grab it regardless just because. But I'd really, really wish they had guts to go harder at the RPG elements and make the game proper challenging, I feel there are lots of dormant, potential buyers especially on the PC-side waiting for a release like that. I have similar hopes for Fallout 4 although I know it won't happen.

Yup, we can blame devs for crappy Xfire/SLi support instead of the IHV's!! :D

On a more serious note though, can't bloody wait for proper DX12 titles to come through!

Looking forward to this game more than any other that is announced.

DX:HR was an outstanding game, still is actually. I replayed it recently and it is absolutely brilliant, did a totally stealth playthrough, so different to previous playthroughs but even better in many ways. I love the way there are different ways of doing so much in the game. Best game of the last few years for me. More of the same would be brilliant.
