Diablo 3 (Console versions)

Cheers mate! Are you soloing t4? Is that the aim at this point to gear up to handle the torments alone or is it done as a group?

Thanks :) dont know if i need to feel guily grouping up for T1 or to try them solo :P

well it is harder with more players but beasties die quicker as long as everyone can handle that torment solo. cluster arrow sentrys and i just vault around if anything gets in my face hehe

You should do Torment as either a group or solo, it's not intended for just one or the other, just whatever you enjoy doing.

Playing in a group is significantly easier than solo, mobs don't get any damage increase when in a group, and their HP increases by 75% per extra person (stacking additively, so for 2 people monsters have 175% HP, 3 people it's 250%, 4 people it's 325%). That basically means that you should kill stuff quicker because not only do you have to do less damage per person than solo, but you also have group buffs meaning that you do more damage than solo, you should also take less damage as stuff is split more or you have someoen tanking most stuff for you as ranged.

The highest level EU solo player has reached level 43 in Greater Rifts on PC, the highest level group have reached level 50.

Thanks! Helpful info :) what do people tend to do more commonly then? I imagine grouping rifts is the way most would play?

But something about being able to solo it would be an achievement i bet :)

Some people only play solo, some only group, some do both. It's entirely up to you and what you find most fun :).

Personally I pretty much only play solo (although I'm doing a playthrough on console with a friend because he's an annoying **** who needs to justify buying a console by playing D3 even though he said he didn't want to play it when it came out on PC :/), because I find it more of a challenge, especially as ranged when you don't have a melee to tank for you, and because I often randomly afk while playing which would just annoy party members :p.

I'm pretty sure Blizzard have said that most people play solo.

Nice! I will try a solo torment rift tonight, got a fair few legendaries since i last tried it!

Then need to start my hard core char but dont know what to go for!

Tried soloing torment rifts tonight with success :) no good items from it but got through fairly well, died once or twice!

Do you guys have magic find gems? Does that affect drop rates on legendaries?

Magic find is pretty much dead now, you get 30% of the magic find towards rare (yellow) items, and 10% towards legendary (orange) and set (green) items. So with a max level gem you'd only get 4.1% more legendaries.

You're better off running a diamond (cooldown reduction) or amethyst (life %) depending on your build/gear.

or if you're ok running t6 without any head gem help, stick it in there :)

actually have mf helm in my t4 dh, vit is fine, don't need any cooldowns...gimmie more money! hehe

Got to level 36 with my wizard last night just defeated magdha so not too far in , what do does everyone do with there inventory ? Just chuck the worse ones away/salvage/sell them or store them ? My inventory is always like 50-60 and my stash is full, as I'm a bit of a horder haha ..

Also in my inventory in the same section as my health potions I have a few magic items like books and other things, how do I equip these or are they applied automatically ?

Sell everything (including unused legendaries) that has a level requirement of 60 or less, salvage everything 61 and above for crafting materials at 70.

The books are plans, they're for the Jewelcrafter or Blacksmith, you should just be able to press X (or A? on the Xbox) on them to learn them as long as you've levelled the Jewelcrafter/Blacksmith to the level required.

The stuff that says Scoundrel/Enchantress/Templar Relic are items you can give to your follower to wear (you can also equip jewellery and a weapon, Scoundrel uses Bows/Crossbows, Enchantress uses 2 hand weapons that aren't a Polearm, Templar uses a one hand and shield).

Ah cheers that's very helpful :) ...

Yeah I've had those books for the blacksmith and pressed x when I was the right level , but there's no option for the others ? I can just press square to compare , and the magic propeties come up for them like saying it increases intelligence etc by ....% ? But there's no option to equip or anything it's just there , there's 2 books and this like ornament thing aswell ?
