Diablo 3 (Console versions)

Ok, so if a controller is better, tell me how you:

Choose a location to Furious Charge/Leap to to maximise damage.
Choose a location to teleport/charge/leap to to get to safety.
Target in front of a mob that's running so that you actually hit the mob.
Place an AoE skill in the middle of a pack of mobs, instantly, rather than just centered on the one at the front missing stuff at the back.

You can't. You might prefer playing with a controller, that's fine lot's of people do, but it's a worse control method than being able to click on the exact spot you want to.

Then clearly it's subjective. I'll enjoy my lack of exact spot clicking, you enjoy your back strain.

It isn't subjective though, what's more comfortable is down to preference, but which is better for controlling the game isn't subjective at all. There's simply things you cannot do with a controller.

No idea why you think playing on a PC means back strain, I have a disc problem and get no back strain no matter how long I play :o.

Anyone managed to find any Reakors Set armor for Barb? looks amazing and all the top barbs use it, the Furious Charge skills has all 5 runes.

Also got Lut Socks for barb now, can leap 3 times before cooldown :)

Leap Quake (Earth set with those boots) is better than Raekors since the console is on 2.0.6.

Charge build gets some changes/additions in 2.1 that makes it the best build though :).

I think anyway, haven't really played my barb since RoS other than leveling to 70.

2.1 Patch said:
Furious Charge has received a number of changes to both make the skill more effective as well as more fun to use. We've looked at every aspect of Furious Charge including the timing of the animation, how far you can charge, and movement delays on your character after the ability ends.

Furious Charge
- Weapon damage increased from 360% to 600%
- Maximum charge distance increased from 35 to 60 yards
- Radius of final damage cone increased from 15 to 20 yards
- Furious Charge should now more reliably move around obstacles and corners
- The travel speed has been significantly increased
- The ending animation time has been significantly reduced and will now scale down with your attack speed
- No longer alternates between using main hand and off-hand weapons
- Skill Rune - Battering Ram
-- Weapon damage increased from 760% to 1050%
- Skill Rune - Bull Rush
-- The stun has been replaced with a freeze
-- Damage type changed from Physical to Cold
-- Has been renamed "Cold Rush"

Class-Specific Legendary Items

- Barbarian
-- Added a +% Furious Charge item affix
--- Can now roll on 2H Mighty Weapons, Chest Armor, and Shoulders

The Legacy of Raekor
- (5) Set Bonus
-- The damage type dealt by Furious Charge will now be based on the element of the Skill Rune you're currently using

Vile Ward
- Legendary Power added
-- Furious Charge deals 30-35% increased damage for every enemy hit while charging

Hey people I have been playing this over the weekend and loving it. Just at the start of act 3 on a DH. Add my gamertag if you don't mind helping a noon :)

There is no point debating this, I do not find using a KB + mouse better therefore the fact is It's subjective.

Fact is, while more accurate, a keyboard and mouse is far less ergonomic than a controller. There is nothing subjective about that, and you can find the info and tests online.

I will sacrifice a little fine control over being comfortable during long gaming sessions any day of the week. Blizzard did a fantastic job with the control system on consoles.

They certainly did, the amount of time I spent playing this game on PC didn't do my back or hands any good, being able to lay on my bed and use a controller to play it is so much better for me.

I find it quite annoying on PC, when playing at a high res, having to click on the little item names to pick them up. Much prefer using a controller and mashing a button to pick items up within a radius.

KB and mouse is the reason I never enjoyed any Diablo game before. Loving it on console though :) Started my Hardcore character but doing on normal because I don't think I'll manage on any other difficulty.

on xbox360 is it worth spending time on the Barbarian? assuming the older consoles will not be getting the 2.1 patch, is the barb under-powered in t6?

LeapQuake (Earth set with Lut Socks boots) is one of the best builds in 2.0.6, so may as well give it a try.

The only class that's arguably not worth playing at all is monk (although I still enjoyed mine for a bit).
