** Diablo 4 Thread **

That reads like they will be intentionally creating queues though, so they can understand what impact it has on other areas of the platform when under stress.

It makes sense though, despite how frustrating it will be for users.

Yeah, it does sound that way - hopefully it's to make for a smoother launch; I'd rather they purposely queue people to test their systems in beta than at launch.

Also, just in case anyone is interested for this weekends beta to get the most out of their playtime, there is a Diablo 4 interactive map of Act 1 that shows all the locations. Obviously this will have spoilers so don't use it if you want to find everything on your own :)

I think if you can get early it should be fine, depends if the immediate influx of loging attempts will kill the server as it'll be like a DDoS at 4 PM I'd imagine

Got in for 5 minutes, then it felt like my PC resources were just getting eaten. Game ground to a halt and I had hard-restart the PC :( Back in queue, 60 mins!

Not a problem, to be expected. I got my sorceror to level 12 though, much easier than the Barbarian but as the Barbarian can have more legendaries I expect that to level out later on. Will play some of my Anno1800 while I wait for the queues to reduce a bit :)

Good plan :) Haven't played Anno for ages; love that series.

137 minutes.... think I will wait until tomorrow!

Aye doing the same - queued enough for tonight :p Although Sunday for me as I'm out all day tomorrow. Looking forward to trying out Necromancer and Druid more though.

Has anyone had issues with the game stuttering? Seems like they have removed fullscreen option and just leave you with windowed fullscreen or windowed.

Never had the stuttering last weekend and had the fullscreen option. Can see there was an update to remove fullsdreen due to the game crashing

Currently for a necro to level 16 and finished act 1. Sorc is 25 and also completed act 1 and enjoying it so far

I had until I turned the texture downs to medium. It's crazy how much RAM this game eats.

Just tried a non-minion Necro and its entirely viable, so thats good. Was going to max each character at release, except the Necro due to hating pet classes, but now that I know the Necro is viable without having to use summons now I will do that one too :)

Ah that's cool to hear, when I saw they started with Summon Skeleton I just auto assumed that it's pet-only since it was a base skill

Yeah the cinematics are fantastic, although they always to be really high quality in Blizzard games. Would love to see a feature length movie by their cinematics teams. The 9-minute long announcement trailer was incredible.

Yeah it's extremely unlikely they'll do any discounts on a newly released game for a while unfortunately.

Diablo 3 is worth a go though and you can get quite a lot of fun out of it, even if you just do the main story and the expansion.

Well, that's the beta over :) Hope everyone had fun who managed to get on.

I had fun but I have some reservations on the game, especially on itemisation, skills, and dungeons, which looks a bit shallow, but I'm absolutely keeping my pre-order as I'm still expecting to get hundreds of hours of play out of it.

I just checked CDKeys and they have what they call Diablo III - Reaper of Souls (which according to their description is base game and one DLC) and costs €33.89. Same one on Battle net is called Battle Chest and cost €29.99. So yeah, key sites might actually be more expensive actually ! (although, might be other sites out there with cheaper keys of course ! )

I think most of the Diablo 3 keys you can buy are likely from physical copies that fell off the back of a wagon :p With Diablo 4, the only way to buy a key is digitally - even the collectors physical edition doesn't have a key as it doesn't include the game.

I've been trying to fill the void with D2:R as never got round to it. It's a really different beast and I don't think I like it. The skills menu for one thing is a giant PITA. I have a 65% kb so F keys need a function button press.

Not sure what else you've played, but Last Epoch has just had an update recently and the new Path of Exile season starts next Friday if you're interested in an ARPG to fill the gap :)
