Yes, apologies for the delay yesterday. The Royal Mail collection was early so we didn't get your gifts out on time. Lets hope the Royal Mail backlog isn't too severe.

IC Diamond Periphelion Ceramic Thermal Compound please because I don't believe it and must try it out without spahing any cash :)

No. Watercooled rigs tend to already have lower temps than aircooled rigs, so the temperature difference would be even less significant.

I'm in no way a water expert but I would have thought the opposite was true.

If the watercooling can remove heat faster than air then it would take greater advantage of the improved thermal conductivity of this compound as it would create less of a bottleneck in the heat transfer.

If I'm wrong I want reasoning as I'm rebuilding my loop soon ^^ more research for better results as always :D

Maybe someone from OCUK can help us here for those needing to rebuild or build a new rig, would still love to know :) Could be they don't even know unless rjkoneill already knows through testing maybe?

Introducing myself, Andrew from Innovation Cooling (IC)

I have started a results thread to consolidate Tests for comparison

Below are initial results from from our field tests in Germany for comparison.

New Perihelion is being introduced here as a top tier, low cost thermal compound.

IC Perihelion, like ICD is a high viscosity compound the high viscosity is designed for long term reliability. Perihelion is slightly more sensitive than ICD to pressure requirements. On screw mounted systems where the screws are set in a fixed position so when the system is turned on the compound heats up and continues to flow leaving a low pressure overly thick bond line because the screw position does not change.

A re torque after a 10 min warm up to close the gap and to optimize performance may be required. This is sort of like a re-torque on the older cars head gasket after the first 1,000 miles or (?) km's.

Some background here on torque
