Did anyone else get Sky for F1?

Wait until the new concorde agreement that probably wont have the requirement to have it shown on a terrestial/free-to-air provider. Be an indictment on how the FIA, FOM and FOTA care about the F1 watching public en masse...

Personally think that clause wouldnt have been considered for removal if a terrestial/free-to-air station still held the UK exclusive rights. Im not saying we are a big market, but its a valuable case study here-and-now on how accepting we were of the movement of F1 to Pay TV

My anger in this is mainly towards the BBC on this.

F1 should have gone to tender on the open market. It would have gone to the highest bidder. I believe in this instance it would have been C4 as Sky would not have been allowed to bid. BBC sold the British public down the river on this.

Yeah, the BBC (or more specifically, the financial position they were put in) was the catalyst for this.

But I'm interested to know why you think Sky would have not been allowed to bid had it gone up for tender? The Concorde agreement is an agreement between the teams and FOM, and as per that agreement they all financially benefit from the TV rights money. All Sky would have to do is offer enough money for them to casually look past the Free to Air clause in the Concorde agreement. Concorde is not an agreement imposed upon F1, its an agreement F1 itself has written, so its very easy for them to ignore their own rules.

My mate's parents have sky (sports) and he had no idea about sky go.

Think ill have to phone sky.

I have freesat & HD decoder box etc.(satellite dish) and xbox360 (hdmi)
