Did anyone else get Sky for F1?

not a chance, TV licence which i grudgingly dish out every year is enough for me, freeview has enough crap that i dont watch, to go and pay a massive amount extra to get another load of rubbish channels just so i can watch F1... no thanks, will just watch the highlights, HD dosnt bother me much at all, it would be nice but not willing to pay extra for it at the moment.
if it was a freeview topup channel i may have considered it but as it stands no.

I've currently got Virgin, my parents have Sky so I'm using SkyGo from their account.

If I could get F1HD on Virgin, even as part of the extortionate Sky Sports package, I might have been swayed to upgrade because I would watch all of the football on Sky as well.

However, I'm not prepared to double my monthly spend with Virgin for one SD channel so SkyGo will have to suffice.

Nope, half the season live on the BBC will do for me. Nothing could persuade me to move to SKY, not even F1.

Besides, Jake and the guys are a great presenting team and are a big part of the show for me.

Nope, and absolutely no intention to get Sky either.

^^This

I never swear on the forum, however I will make an exception for this one time when I say .... **** them !

50Mb VM broadband ready for the non BBC races ;) I'll just have to impose a media blackout in my house until the download has finished.

We've just made the decision to change to Sky and get the bare minimum package that offers the F1 channel... Works out hardly any more than we are paying for our Virgin TV and we get Sky+ too...

edit - or not. Just found out the cost to terminate our Virgin contract..... FFFFFUUUUUUUUUU

Sky man came today. Turns out I do have dual feeds into my flat (wooooooot!).

God I've missed Sky. Just watching Motors TV and all the adverts for stuff coming up in the next few months. I'm going to be single by Easter :D:(

Girlfriend's impressed then. :p

No. I had Sky with the basic package and the HD pack for £31 a month. I called and cancelled as we just were not getting £31 of usage out of it even though I knew the F1 was coming and I just planned to just watch the BBCs coverage.

I called up a month later to get them to enable the recording part of the box so that we could record from FreeSat and they said they could give me my old deal for £21.50 a month which I accepted.

Had it been on the sports channels I would not have been watching any F1 on Sky this year.

Had I had the option of having Virgin I wouldn't have Sky at all but since Virgin are not interested in my area Sky and BT get my monies.

Moved to Sky this year, not because of the F1 because I got an offer for all channels in HD (including movies/sports) for £31.62 a month :) Stuck with Virgin for the broadband and phone, best of both worlds.

I am incredibly tempted to take the plunge and do exactly what I swore I wouldn't do when the Sky F1 deal was announced. The line up of their presenting team and all the additional coverage is just far too tempting when Top Cash Back are doing £101 back for new HD customers, plus the £100 M&S vouchers Sky are handing out are just destroying my will power :(
