it was not added like many other features to save them hassle and money and just port over a carbon copy of the game from consoles
maybe they will add little tweaks with patches to come . this is maybe what will happen when sales drop a little to boost the game. i might have a look at it then.
for now though it doesnt interest me or my clan ingeneral and will stick it out in cod 4 and then battlefield when it arrives. even though im not a battlefield nut its the only fps war game that might give us what we want instead of what mw2 has gave us .

Why is every-one crying over the lean function? did anyone actually use it anyway, in COD4 it was useless, lean round a wall and the other side sees you all he had to do is place a couple of well placed shots into the wall in front and you where dead anyway.

Quite a lot of snipers used it as it was a handy function to hide a lot of your body from spray and pray (until people got stopping power and deep impact). Mostly used in other games that didn't have CoD's perks.
Now it's removed people will just have to learn to strafe properly.

Yeah so mainly for campers then I can imagen that would upset a few people, point made.
Stupid statement. I'm a staunch defender of PC gaming, I've been a PC gamer all my life and could never switch to the consoles. I don't like how they've restricted the multiplayer, and I think the game itself is a bit of a disappointment....but that doesn't excuse the fact that it's a good experience and there is a lot of enjoyment to be had here if you want it.
COD4 was a an awesome game - if you loved the MP in that, the only thing you're missing out on with MW2 are the MP levels; admittedly excellent as they are, someone will mod them into COD4 eventually.
So basically, buy the game if you want, don't if you don't. It's not a biggie. I spend a few days deliberating whether or not to get it...there are various rage posts by myself in various threads over the forum, but I decided that regardless of what you think of them, IW surely couldn't have broken the game and they haven't. It has just changed. Not changed in the way I wanted it to, but it's still worth playing.

Whilst his way of putting it wasnt exactly great he has a point, ur giving money (at a premium over other PC games) to a company that will see it as a justification for console porting in future, thereby reducing the likelihood of dedicated servers returning to their next title.
You said u are able to join with friends, is this just all by clicking Play Now at the same time? And being the best in a server may not really change as u wont be able to pick servers where you know the standard of play is at a high level.
As someone said earlier in this thread the point of a boycott is to give up something to make a point, even if it's something you like (in part at least).
if you played any of the cods from cod 1 lean is a big thing if you clipped corners where you a sniper or just in general. cant believe some dont even use it.
some people just used to lean shoot on maps like brecourt to make it harder to get accurate shots on you cause of your postion while standing crouched instead of normal straight .
on harbour some of the rifle nab pros would sit behind boxes and get shots off you woludnt even see them before dead without even getting there body shown
without lean not possible.

You can make a party with friends and it always puts you in the same game.
You're supporting business practices which will only promote piracy, and a move to a monetary model instead of free patches which has been the norm forever. The lack of dedicated servers is a benchmark that I hope will be followed by no other company, their reasoning for doing so is insulting to my intelligence, cheats are out already and increaed latency cannot be compensated for. Anyway it's irrelevant what I say as the average consumer has no problem with being nickled and dimed.

Yeah not being very articulate this morning. I loved COD, COD2 and COD4, and I'm sure I'd enjoy MW2 (although I've heard the single player is laughably short considering they're overcharging for the experience). I won't be buying it though. I don't blame Activision, they're a business, they are entitled to charge whatever they want and IW can do anything they like to their game. The money will roll right in. And thats the problem. Consumers either are ignorant or happy with being shafted.

AYe lean has been a fundamental part of CoD. Clipping was an art form in the series, it was kind of lesser used and known in CoD4 due to the wallbang but it was still very usefull.
Yup, I'm sure that's the same video they used as the example for left lean on Clanbase, but they showed the same from the viewpoint of the other person.
