The thing I don't understand about MP is where/how the games are hosted? Is IWNET just a matchmaking system or does it provide hosting for the games (8v8 max?) too?
IW.net is matchmaking, whoever starts a game becomes the host and the game plays off his net connection, so look forward to seeing tons of laggy servers with the host denying he's dloading porn.![]()
So the host can end the game whenever he wants? Servers will be going up and down way too often. Does the host also get admin rights on kick/ban?
This sounds a lot like how console games work, right?
Far as im aware host gets admin rights yup. Pretty much exactly how a console game works
They have some new gimmick in it that if a host disconnects the game freezes and it puts you into a different server on the same map in the same locations, pretty much like someones paused the game for a few seconds then it resumes. Theres a vid on it in this thread somewhre i think.

I must say it does look awful, and the game play so bland and console ish..
Nobody gets admin rights at all, so no kicks for hackers or idiots...
Not even callvote?
The host wont get admin rights, that would actually be even worse....
the person who starts the matchmaking process doesn't even host, the game selects the person who it "thinks" will be best.

Not a PC gamer I see. Balanced review? I think not.
Aside from the new weapons and equipment, players have far more options when it comes to customising how they approach the multiplayer
