Digital switchover this week- Rents are flapping!

LCD's are out, too much shudder in any high speed action sequences, totally spoils any film.
I'd like to see an LG beat a panasonic. lol
 
shudder? shudder is no more of an issue on a decent lcd than it is on a panasonic plasma. The issue isnt shudder at all, its motion resolution. not shudder, or ghosting, more in common with smearing of the image.


Honestly i think people just regergitate the crap they read on the internet without giving it any thought at all.
 
No it's called seeing with my own eyes on various sets and I'VE found LCD to be crap compared to Plasma. Nothing regurgitated at all.
I even went to the sound and vision show in Bristol and sat in on a fair few demos thanks.
 
i own a panasonic plasma. decent lcd's are no worse than my 50pz80 when it comes to judder or lack of. infact, some of them are better although i dont like the way sony's and samsung are handling the motion - silky smooth but ive seen some weird artifacts going on when i was watching one of the 200hz sony panels.

So the worst Panasonic Plasma is near in performance to a good LG set?

I got a £599 for a PX42B last year. This year you can get a newer model for less, and it's 50" . . Thought it was worth mentioning.
