Yet you think wasting 80 on a x1950 pro is the best option?
what nonsense

But thanks for the insult anyway![]()
What date is the new Gen released?
He could buy a GTX now or GTS and get some nice gaming in.
Then sell a few weeks before the new gen release.
Exactly what I have been doing for years
He could even get the EVGA and stepup.
Stating not buying a 8800 GTX now cause the new stuff is soon out is like saying dont buy C2D cause penryn will soon be out.
I for one would have thought that you of all people would know about the pointlessness of waiting.
And stating getting a x1950pro is just naff
Tom, how long did people hang back waiting for R600, lots of gameing time lost waiting for a card that didnt perform as we all thought (hoped) it would.Tom|Nbk said:Hmm I'd just hate to spend mega bux on a high end card when the new ones are close (Novemeber apparantly) just think how much the card will de value you won't get the maximum value out it, even if you sold a bit before release you'd still loose a fair bit. I'd get the X1950 as a little stop gap, I mean let's face it theres absoloutly cack all out atm thats even worth playing anyway so the 1950 would tie my along nicely.

easyrider said:Hence why I said the GTS at 200 is still a great buy and will hold its value in a few months.

Looking at it again, if i was just about to buy and wasnt up to speed on all things gfx i would maybe wait, then again its all about balance and pairing GFX and CPU so as to limit bottle necking.Tom|Nbk said:Yep thats an option I guess we all work differently, personally the likes of Easy, Me and others that switch there cards on here a lot we have to think differently and we don't always think the same when it comes to upgrading![]()
Yup, got my GTX 3 months ago for an absolute steal. Absolutely loving it too!Th3D0n said:id say get a 8800 gtx or gts and stick with it for a year
Will be interesting to see how the 2900 will work with DX10 games, im also in a good position atm as I can wait and see how the G92/90 pans out if these are good I shall get one of those if they are naff I will wait for the next ATi card and see how that is.Tom|Nbk said:Im in an OK position atm as I can wait and see how the G92/90 pans out if these are good I shall get one of those if they are naff I will wait for the next ATi card and see how that is.
