No but spending most of the year away from home fighting the good fight and my daughter being 9 its not uncommon for her to plead that monsters are outside her room, i turf her out when i go up but i have a sneaky suspition that when im away she gets to stay in my bed.

Tom, how long did people hang back waiting for R600, lots of gameing time lost waiting for a card that didnt perform as we all thought (hoped) it would.

RavenUK you must not of been around when the 2900 v 8800 was at its hight & people being constantly put down for waiting for the 2900xt & it not beating the 8800 outright.

What is with the forced AA in 10.1 etc? To purposley cripple framerates or to make games look good and say it's becuase of dx10.1 when it's really because they have forced the card to use higher settings?

10.1 is a good thing because it means mandatory 4xFSAA with no fps drop at all for the gfx cards supporting it :D

I thought ati had more later generation version of dx10 than nvidia cos of their long dev time on it and so had more or better use of dx10 so them 2900xt cards should be fine with dx10.1?

Besides the vista dx10 was only a hacked together jobbie of dx9 and dx10 components so was never proper full on dx10.

3months is a long time in GFX.

Yet you think wasting 80 on a x1950 pro is the best option?

what nonsense

The whole "Buy for now" thing seems obserd to me. Yes dont constantly wait. But not waiting for the new cards just round the corner which should be significantly better then the GTS.

Ya i think its a waste of money to waste 200 quid on a card that you dont want. Perhaps your just rich.
