DirectX 11 to come in 2009

Well if it better than DX10 then why not i would say but a new OS that only runs DX11 will be a pain. Just had enough trouble installing Vista and a new OS along with a the newer version of DX11 will make a lot of people unhappy.

i agree with that. and theres people that will upgrade to it for no reason really, its just to say oh look everybody im the first to get the new one

Whoopdidoo, another technology release that wont be fully implimented until 2 years after its release apart from make us drool at the screenshots of the games we cant play.

What like the 8800GTX?
Plus as long as the DX11 cards play DX10/9 games better than the current get cards what does it matter, if we stuck with DX7 we wouldn't have games looking as good as they do now.

Well for DX11 games to come out in 2010 windows support would be hear by next year? Well inside Vista lifetime.

There will always be people who dont know what there doing but should others suffer because some people went from a 7900GTX to a 8600 just because its DX10.
If the newer cards bring on the same level improvement as the 8800GTX with DX9 game then why not.

i was meaning if the person already as a top end card that runs everything that person wants well theres no point upgradeing but some people do just to say oh look everybody im the first to get the new one.

Its not a mistake buying 1st gen cards..

I remember when i bought my 8800gtx card not that long after they came out (paid about £330 i think) and people on these forums said they would wait until either the second gen dx10 cards were out or until the 2900 series hits the shelves.

but i could say that about the 2900/3800 series they can play DX10 titles, but not as well as dx9 games...
