DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

Similar to the guy above, coming from assetto corsa ,the g27 in this feels way off, I'm sure it will be fixed later but at the moment its a huge step back in realism.

What's up with the G27?

I'm tempted to get one with a seat and start doing a little setup. Not just for this, but it will be one of the main games I play.

some people say issues with ffb or steering. you just adjust your logitech settings also today on twitter it shows the devs working on ffb ;)

i set my logitech settings to 103 someone said 107 on here other day.all my ingame settings are default. game steers brilliant.

Set force feedback to 107% in profiler, anything less and there is a deadzone in all games. It's a known issue with on centre slack on the g27. It's not as prominent in some games such as AC but I still noticed it, unfortunately it's prominent in DR.

You can also set profiles in the profiler. Though the only setting I have different is Degrees of rotation between all the games I play.

Quoting my own post for those that didn't see it before.

I've turned off FFB for now. You realise how much it impedes you when it shouldn't IRL for opposite lock when it's off. It's a shame as the bumps and vibrations are good, but when you quickly need to correct you fight against FFB for no reason. Takes some getting used to the light wheel but I'm much quicker in slides/hairpins etc without it. I'll be turning it back on for sure when they fix it.

Yep I mentioned this in an earlier post in this thread. The wheel locks in place rather than naturally returning to centre which means you need to forcibly countersteer out of turns. Like you I've turned off ffb since yday and will turn it on again when fixed.

Using my G25 I haven't touched the settings in game, but have had my profile settings set to the following for some time now. For me this works good on all Codemasters racing games I've played in the last few years. I've had no issues with FFB on any of them, including Dirt Rally.

Argh, super frustrating second stage in the league was going quite well then suddenly sky, ground, sky, ground tree :D no idea how it was drivable to the end

I had to give up one the second league event! I was like 20 seconds off the pace in the first stage as I got stuck in a ditch and couldn't recover or get out easily xD

Then the next race I managed to just clip the side of the bank at the start that didn't cause too much of an issue...apart from it gave me a puncture, no way am I doing that stage on 3 wheels! :p

I officially hate the Welsh stages.

Too many bumps that'll throw you off if you don't know the course well enough.

I pity anyone driving one of the Welsh stages without a practice run beforehand.
