Dirt Rally is amazing : Try it if you are after a new VR game

I had performance issues when I last tried it, very stuttery... also don't look behind you. I did when i played in the classic mini rallyx and the back half of the car wasn't rendered...you know those cartoons where the car splits in half and the front keeps going...

Add to that the fact I can't drive rally cars very well at all and I lost interest. While I love my driving games I much prefer circuit racing, and with 12months of iRacing picked up cheap in the Steam Sale alongside PCars and Assetto Corsa I doubt I'll get back to Dirt Rally any time soon.

Can this work with the Vive, says Oculus only on store.

Does the Sale end at midnight or later tomorrow? I have £25 credit and am trying to stick to it but my wishlist is massive.

I've had this in my Steam library and have just downloaded again to try it in VR. When I launch it launches in Oculus fine, but all the controls are for K&M. How do I change that?
You have to change it in the control settings in game can you assign keys to the controller? With my wheel and pedals I have to pick t300 and then tweak it.

There's also 2 modes you can run this one. One means the car 'chassis' stays staic around you and makes it arcadey. You can also set it to be head static and the car (and scenery) bounce around you. This is more like it would be in real life, try that one. Can't remember the setting name but it should jump out if you're looking for it

at the bottom of the hud settings is these options

VR - Right Stick Camera Control off/on
VR - Look Back off/on
VR - All Driving Views off/on
VR - Vehicle Camera Motion off/on
VR - Dynamic Replays off/on

the camera motion is the one u should try both on and off

Cheers, I'll give it a go (I'm off on holiday tomorrow, so will be a while yet).

Incidentally, I'm new to VR and the games I've enjoyed the most so far are Elite Dangerous, Dirt Rally & Project Cars. I'm seeing a pattern here :p ... Driving/flight Sims are the puppies swingers in VR... I can see me picking up a wheel before long.

Thanks for the vehicle motion tip. Switching that away from the default has made the game playable for me, where previously I immediately felt sick.

This does mean I'll probably have to demo any racing games i might buy, in case they only support "make me sick" mode.
