Dirty Bomb (from the ppl behind ET)

I haven't got my steam key yet and I was in the old beta, its not bad and moving to steam should make for a better player base, but it is a little old school for some younger gamers, its very much ET or ET:QW or even Brink.
 
Quake wars and brink failed big time lol

However ET is a classic and is still going now that needs a remake on a new engine :-)
 
Man I cant stop playing this.. What a Superb FPS and I mean, I can see myself playing this for very long time.

The performance also is stunning i7 2600k and a single 290 max settings at 1080p frame rate never drops below 120fps

Brink deserved to fail. ETQW's main problem was mainstream players being to thick tbh (and granted the gameplay doesn't appeal to everyone).

Guess I'll give this a go but even in the vids I've seen a few bits where gimmicks are pushed at the expense of gameplay, though not as badly as I was fearing after brink.
 
Played a couple of games today, not sure what to make of it just yet as it's not really my type of shooter but I think it possibly has some potential.

I'm quite liking the game so far, recently found I had installed it so gave it a go over the weekend and was very impressed.

Basically a faster CS:GO in my opinion, decent graphics and fast paced gameplay. Teams of 5v5 but I think it can go up to 8v8.

Has the same style "unlocks" like CS:GO where you randomly get crates and unlock loadouts with different weapons. I do like how you have to select 3 characters before you go in (e.g. An assault, A medic, a Sniper) and you can switch between them at every spawn. I know it sounds like every other game where you can switch between classes but then u could take a medic with a med bag or a medic with a healing station.

Looking forward to more maps :)
 
So is this anything like the original RTCW MP and the original ET? I used to love those two games particularly ET. When is it supposed to be released? it seems to have been in closed alpha/beta testing for ages now.

Gameplay is pretty much, you can repair "side" mission objectives (they had a walkway and a fan system to open up new paths to the objectives) but I think any class can do it but the engineer does it faster.

Unsure when its gonna be released, they were testing competitive match making over the weekend and have taken away a lot of the "heroes" so I'm presuming the open beta will be soonish.
 
SD have missed a trick (yet again)

All that is needed is to release a updated classic game-play of RTCW and ET, no fancy gimmicks apart from the stars you earn in campaign mode.

Hell if i new what i was doing i would raise a kickstarter call it Territory of the enemy hire 20 Chinese developers (is this enough ? ) and just blindly copy every aspect of the originals.

I have a few steam keys, have been in it since the alpha. Kinda lost interest when they removed actual classes. The major issue is it's a F2P game, and you need a monster (well gaming PC) PC to run it reasonably, something the average F2Per does not have.

If you have any spare and no-one else wants them I have 2 friends who are still waiting for a beta key :(

Obviously anyone here wants them first please ignore :)
