Dirty Bomb (from the ppl behind ET)

RTCW and ET were games that could be pretty dam spammy depending on the server you joined (large player count "super-servers" being a favourite). it could also be the most focused and deliberate game i've ever played if you were playing Clan matchs or with a tight group of friends on public matches.

The same game has been remade now 5 times? RTCW, ET, ET:Quakewars, Brink and now Dirtybomb. The first 2 were amazing the 3rd I just don't know what happened to that it just wasn't right and no-one played it, brink was good but with issues and died off fast.

I have high hopes for Dirtybomb I really do, I hope they can reverse the trend.

So do I . I've been playing it for the last 8 months now and there's some good throwbacks to RTCW and, imo, not so good concessions made to try and make the current CoD generation and unlock crowd feel at home. You can't pls everyone.
 
Is it just me or did they just remove the server list / quick join and replace it with matchmaking?

It used MM and it put me in a (presumably US) server with 100+ ping :/
 
Why am I having authentication problems? I just signed to this Nexus crap using a newly made account and im still having the same problem. It is added to windows firewall too.
 
How on earth can you play with friends? I want to play with someone but there doesn't seem to be any way of playing together. Have they not implemented a friends list yet?

Fixed. :D

Uninstalled Bit Defender and I can now sign in. No idea why though as it was in my exceptions list. It also solved the EA Online problems I was having with BF4.
 
If anyone has another spare key that would be most appreciated :)

Right now I'm reminiscing about being in an ET team on the UK CB ladder, and playing against 4Kings in ETQW... such a long time ago! The last Wolfenstein game was awful (although I stuck with it), and Brink didn't do it for me. Been waiting for a fast paced shooter ever since - maybe this is it!

I've sent you a key via trust. If it doesn't work let me know and I'll send another. I've lost track of which ones I have given out.
 
Oh yes! It's awesome!!! All settings down lowest... fov 120...head bob disabled... ET is back!!! :D

Is there any way to reduce the alpha of the objective markers? They take up so much screen space :/
