ROFL, even if you did that surely you would try to get the card back by opening the case

My dads machine must be as bad is these. As he smokes its dust and tar which is impossible to clean.

Infact now I refuse to clean it out, its so bad the side and back vents are kinda blocked and it stinks.

Last time I did clean it I had to replace all fans as they were all baked, and took me 4 times to reseat the memory as the contacts were blocked.

Think the tar is holding it together.

Are the warnings about not using a hoover because of static build up just a rumour then? I've been fixing a family members PC the past couple of days and I ended up using a rocket air to get the dust out of it.

A hoover would be much easier!

Every time my Dad brings his PC round it looks like that because he's a heavy smoker.
I have to take it outside and blast it.

On another note, here at the hospital when we're doing an Infection Control session, we put a picture up showing the amount of bacteria/germs in a hospital ward, kitchen top, toilet seat and computer keyboard.
The figure for the keyboard always gets a gasp.

I always used to dishwash my keyboards, havent done it for a while since i quit smoking i havent needed to half as much but a quick run through the machine followed by FULL drying out it used to be like new.

Ive put heatsinks through as well (fan removed) to clean them out.

Its good to remove the all the crap now and then. My little niece thinks it makes the PC run faster as well, just like when i wash the car

whilst i have no pictures i have fixed PCs in a worse state than those (baring the crisp packets et al and the mice)

And I were freaking out over my Triton 88 having dust traped in the fins, and will look for some pressurised air soon because the thing is too big to allow simply blowing the dust out.

I have no idea how to remove and clean the dust filters on my case, I'll try figure it out later, maybe just needs some brute force to pull the front filter covers off (Antec P182).
