Dishonored’s much-requested sequel is the subject of today’s super dubious Internet rumblings, with an E3 2014 reveal on the cards.

dishonored_2.jpg

According to an off-screen photo of a slide from some sort of presentation, Dishonored 2 will be fully revealed at E3 in June. The existence of the slide, should it be genuine, suggests it will be shown or discussed before the event, at least behind closed doors.

The slide carries the hashtag Darkness of Tyvia, which currently returns no results not connected to the alleged leak.

The image was first posted by AllGamesBeta, attributed to an anonymous, unverified email tip-off.

Take this with all the cynicism you should apply to unattributed images that just pop up on the Internet; it’s not hard to grab the Arkane and Bethesda logos, whack ‘em on a PowerPoint, and take a picture of your projector – while it is quite hard to get anything through Bethesda’s NDAs, and industry insiders have little to gain by leaking information.

E3 2014 will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Centre from June 10 through 12.

Dishonoured is the only game I started again as soon as I finished the first time so I could see the different t ending.

Dishonoured 2 would float my boat.

What was wrong with it?

Really undynamic, you'd have to be directly behind them and stealth had no flow. I understand that from games like Thief but isn't the protagonist of Dishonored meant to be a bad ass? Kind of funny that he's nowhere near as lethal as Sam Fisher or that douché you play as in FC3.

I didn't see any issues with it at all in Dishonored. Awful is such a ridiculous exaggeration, I wouldn't even say it was clunky, you just had to be accurate.

Blinking to the enemy then stealth takedowns were how it is done. Get some big scores in back alley brawl and you'll realise that there is flow, you've probably just not figured out the groove yet.

Seemed fine to me, not sure how you can ever call a game that has an ability like blink lacking flow either...

Should probably give it another go then, never looked into the skills too much, was just put off by the lack of side or frontal takedowns.

I completed the entire game and both DLC's without being seen by anybody (Ghost achievement) and without killing anybody (Clean/Cleaner/Cleanest hands)

It works fine as far as I'm concerned.

Good news but no great suprise. I think it sold well and had a good critical reception so a sequel was a shoe-in. I loved the world they created so and I'm really looking forward to more.

It is well known that Arkane are now split into two teams, one headed by Harvey Smith in Lyon is making Dishonored 2, while the other with Colantonio is rebooting Prey 2.
Still it is nice to see it "confirmed", assuming this is not fake. I love Dishonored, incredibly art style and awesome gameplay. DLCs are amazing too. I want Dishonored 2, NOW.

Hope they're on next gen engines.

Its a Bethesda game so its a good chance there will be an engine upgrade. Good job its not an Activation game or we would have another quake 3 engine game to look forward to.
