Dishonored 2

Unless there is a patch of which all I have seen confirmed is a 9gb patch for the consoles it's looking like another borked PC port .

Can't see that sorting it anyway. They've been developing it for ages, then a week before release, oh yeah doesn't run too well I guess we best quickly fix that.

Why oh why do people pre-order? I mean honestly, if anyone is going to be clued up on the state of new release video games these days, and especially games involving the likes of Bethesda, it must surely be the people who frequent this forum?

Because the first one is a very good game. If it's really that bad, but it's likely going to be a refund if it's as bad as people say.

I doubt very much that pre order refunds will be paid out. All these people who are buying through key sites for a £5 saving are on a hiding to nothing. No chance of a refund.

I can't understand why people are so impatient that they have to pre order. You can buy the game as soon as early reviews confirm it's not a disaster, and be playing it within an hour.

I agree, I've moaned and moaned at people about pre ordering as it's so bad. I do buy 90% of my keys through key shops.

Sadly, this one time (in a while might I add!) that I pre ordered based on my support to the team for the first game, has been tainted.

It sucks, that the first pre order in ages is yet again. Another regret. PC gamers are just getting royally shafted these days.

I really don't see why I will fork out several hundred pounds simply to upgrade my 980 ti to a 1080 ti. Time to go back to consoles :(

Annoyed. 1st game Ive dared to pre-order since the debacle that was Rome 2 and one of 2 games I will buy this release season, it is, yet again, a complete nightmare performance wise apparently. Very very ****ed off

It could be a patch fix? As apparently it's absolutely fine in the first area. It's the open area. So probably something stupid like some mistake rendering light shafts and shadows to the edge of the world. Hopefully anyway.

Maybe, but its not like they could have missed the issue in testing?

Is this a problem with the game, even at the lowest settings or are people just complaining because they cannot run it maxed out?

As I recall people were also crying with Deus Ex Mankind Divided while I was happily playing it 4K with a few tweaks to settings.

Seems even at low running at 1080p on a 1080 GTX, the issue is still present. Which is a huge red flag.

I'm moving to San Francisco early next year. I've been wondering what to do with the PC... I think I'm almost certain about selling all of the parts and buying a PS4 along with some other cool tech bits.

Wait for the Xbox Scorpio next year, true 4K gaming console.

I was expecting the worst after hearing the performance issues. But i will say im not suffering from any framerate issues or anything.

Running 1440 with a mixture of very high and ultra with the following spec :

4690 " 4.6
16gb Ram
980ti
Installed on SSD.

Ive got out of Dunwall and onto the next chapter. All seems good performance wise so far

Odd...

Well, by fine do you mean 60+ fps?

By the sounds of the issues people are having, it seems to be down to an actual issue with the engine, rather than optimisation. Hopefully it will be patched.
