Bought a GTX460. Had some strange horizontal lines in games and furmark.

RMA.

New card. same problem. God damn ridiculous.

Ive called ocuk and im supposed to send it for RMA again. Im not sure if its the card, the problem is exactly the same. although with onboard I get no lines at all in any game.

4GB Ram
Coolermaster GX550W
Phenom II X2 555 BE

I really dont want to send it off and wait again, its so frustrating. there has to be something i can do, ffs...

Also the guy from customer service did say the last card was corrupt. ive got no idea what to do anymore...

Southern scotland, use a DVI connector supplied with the card to connect with monitor.

Ok, if its not the card, what is it then ? where could the issue be ? im devastated..

No luck, just tried another monitor cable, still nothing.
Dont tell me i have to spend goddamn postage fee again to send it.

im on the verge of depression...

(Other monitor does seem to get rid of this but it doesnt when closely looking. also lowering resolution on current monitor makes it harder to see but its still there visible.)

Like i said, V.sync doesnt eliminate the problem, even though it helps.

in WaW, after force turning V.Sync on, the lines are still there, but they are frozen in place making them hard to see instead of them flickering. I dont want to have v.sync on though

Its a new system, 2 weeks old. no dust in there mate.

And yes same symptoms, and I REALLY dont want to RMA again... this is terrible, still cant find a solution

I tried other forums aswell, I too think 2 cards with exact same problem are very unlikely..

Temps are fine, doesnt go above 50C, 30C idle.

and No i didnt change the adapter. It came with the GPU

I do have another one bought from ebay, tried it, and it makes my screen go green.

What is wrong with my life, does everything I buy is faulty ? ffs...

Cable is ruled out, tried 2 dfferent ones.

its very hard to see them on footage, not as extreme aswell. cant see flickering but only a single white line.

When I download the ZIP theres 3 files in there, no install though. what to do ?
