Do I need a multi tool?

I got a cheapo multitool from Aldi years ago. It does come in very handy from time to time. One thing I would say - the sanding sheets attach to it via velcro. That is, the base has velcro hooks, and the sheets just have a kind of cotton wool fluff. That fluff very quickly wears away, so I find the sheets become useless because they won't stay attached a lot sooner than the actual sandpaper wears away.
Because of that, I've switched to a B&D mouse* for the sorts of sanding tasks I would have used the multitool for. But it still comes in handy occasionally as a plunge saw.

*Which actually still uses a velcro system, but the backing seems a better quality and lasts longer.

I've got a Makita LXT one, but I only have the sanding head atm. I should probably get a pack of attachments for it, I put an engineered wood floor down recently and it would have been useful for undercutting the door frames....but was a pretty easy job with a handsaw...

Use 1 for work they are handy i use it mostly for cutting skirting boards so I can fit shutters in offices saves waiting for the bone idle chippy finish his 10th brew of the morning at 8.30

Update:

I've ordered the Aldi Ferrex multi tool for £25, I already have a battery for a Ferrex strimmer.

It comes with some bits, so I'll see how it goes.
