do u think we should have a benchmarking section

Thats not the issue, as someone else has said, every time these get updated they knock actual graphic card news/topics to the bottom or next page of the forum

:)

Fixed :p

I wouldn't mind a mod's thoughts on this. I am not fussed either way. I started the threads here, as people get new cards and want to compare against others, so the logical place was the GPU section. They have been here for well over 2 years and always updated but again, if guys want them moved to keep the GPU section for GPU only news threads, that is cool with me.

Edit:

I have asked a mod to do a poll :)

IMO it would be good to have a subsection for big threads as they often drown out the individuals looking for help.

The problem with having a separate benching section is it would very quickly look like this forum does now as news and benching are very closely related in the type of threads that you get.

I also don't think this forum is busy enough to try splitting it further. One thing I really hate on another forum like Guru3d is you look in each section and it is very slow moving where it is too specialised. At least in our graphics forum over the course of 12 hours a thread will move from the top to the bottom of the first page. On Guru3d or OC3d nothing moves very fast and it is very boring.

I think it's a good idea, and we can also have a driver sub forum, and a rumours sub forum, and a general graphics sub forum. :p

In honesty, I think it's fine as it is, but I can see the benefit of having them all in one place.

You know i cant tell you how long i have waited for other people who share my love of benches to want our own sub thread, i mean how can you not fall in love with this ercol bench?

but in all seriousness it is a good idea as real world tests can be very good if people want to make an informed desicon and compare results with reviews.
