Do we have a Black Friday 2018 Deals thread

Bought a Acer Predator XB271HU monitor for £459 - 1% Quidco and a £2.50 Quidco bonus. I Originally wanted the Asus Rog Swift monitor as I think it looks a bit better, but I don't think it's worth an extra £190 over this monitor.

I have read that there are refreshed models coming soon and these monitors are old tech now, so I may have made a big mistake buying at the moment as these old models could drop more, or the newer models could be far superior. But I have been meaning to get a new monitor for years so just decided to go for it. It should hopefully be better than my 1080p 42" tv I am currently using as a monitor lol.

Anyone seen any good offers on a TV, ideally under £200? After something between 28-32, 1080p, ideally with Smart functionality. Have a Samsung that has served me well for the past 12 odd years, but time to move on...

I was really tempted by the Harmony remote at £89, but seeing as I only use an AVR and media PC and can already control my Hue lights with my Echoes there probably isn't much point no matter how much I try to justify it to myself!

I thought it was the week after these days :p

When the hell does the steam game sale start as I want to buy the new tomb raider game as I have this week off work.;)
The Steam Sale has started :):):)

Waiting on tomb raider and spiderman.

Tomb raider Croft edition was 39.99 a few weeks back but I missed it that's my bite point for physical ps4 copy.
Don't miss it this time ;)

When you say decent what are you thinking? And do you want them completely wire free or with a wire joining the 2?

I have some Anker Soundcore phones which are decent enough and cheap. Decent enough for running anyway. Probably not good enough if you want to properly sit and listen though.

We're not allowed to link to the rain forest right? Wanted some advice on a BF deal but it's computer related, however OcUK don't stock anything made by this company.

you can if it's not for a similar item (type of item rather than specific make/model) to what OcUK sell

under £200

has to be second hand then IMO.

i sold a top of the range 55 inch 2015 sony RRP £1500 on launch for £320 on gumtree last week

Any headphones experts?

Sony WH-1000xm2 @ £245 vs Sony WH-1000xm3 @ £330 vs Bose QC35 @ £280.

The cheaper Sony and the Bose are on black friday 'deals', the XM3's are the best headphones. Where would OCUK put its money?

i wouldn't buy any of them. i'd go wired and save myself £100-£200.

dt770's or similar

Keeping my eyes peeled for a Nest Hello video doorbell. Lowest I've seen is £180 at Argos a couple of months ago with a discount voucher, missed out on that though. Hoping for the same or better.

Does anyone know if you can use the Google Home mini as a main chime? Save having to faff about with wiring up a transformer to an old school mechanical chime?

Kinda depends what you want them for? Just listening to music, perhaps the Bose. For movies and things too, I would go Sony.

I thought I'd seen the XM2's for £199 somewhere? If you find that, I would say the 2's...
