was out lastnight for a hoke when i thought to myself if anyone else has a usual route they take to a get their adrenaline rush.

mine is usually NSL twisty coutry road stuff with a bit of downhill here and there?

anyone else have a route or do you just go with the flow?

Yes, but a bit dodgy when wet.

It's called 'Lower Burnham Road' usuallt full of bikers :D on the way to Woodham/Burnham.

It's full of twisties and huage straights that slope down, which is great as you can see any other cars a mile off to give you time to ease off :) .

just remembered that part of my route is used as a hill climb event aswell, here is some of the acttion.... not by me.

thats part of my route but my toy is a 1.1 saxo :p

ill try and get a video of my route some time

I can take my pick of about a dozen different routes. I'm only a few miles out of town and I'm into the Yorkshire dales :) Quite narrow roads, but there is one perfect 'speed testing' road - middle of nowhere, about a miles visibility, straight with no junctions. Easy to get to 130+ on that road :D

Yup I do indeed!

Normally part of my route to work - great little road, can be traffic with HGVs and miss dasies that live in the villages, but plenty of overtaking places... majority is NSL/50, but starts at 40 at Woseley Bridge, and then again at Weston

I have many routes.

I have a route to every major town around me that i can take that has enough twisties that even i start to feel car sick from my driving :p

I even have routes that go around the back of town if i have to get to the other side and dont want to go through traffic :D

Instead of doing the normal 6 mile traffic flooded route today I took the 12 mile country road route. Used double the petrol, but had 10 times more fun!

always the way though, id rather have the twisties, up and down gears, than sit at 60 on a carrigeway

My fave was the run from Chepstow to Monmouth through the valley in the teg. Great fun, up and down gears all the time, 90 degree bends and the like.
Not been up there in the new motor though, dont think it would be as much fun as the handling is "stale" in comparison.

Not so much a route but there is a lane near me called Whitehill Road. As you come from one end, you come over the brow of the hill and the road is arrow straight and gently downward sloping for about a mile. Best of all, its all open so you can see any other traffic well before it gets to you. Good to use for a personal drag strip at 2am when no ones around :D

I don't tend to have any routes like that due to speed limits and lacking of liking of roads with no white lines, but there are many fun roads in Devon and Cornwall. Haven't as yet experienced any around Bournemouth yet though...but then that's because when I'm here I'm driving my girlfriend's car and she's in it...so have to be good. :p

Can't wait for the end of exams, will have my own car and a couple months to play. :D

One I often use when I need to take out some frustration, it's only 4 miles, but there's adverse camber, humpback sections, very narrow sections, etc, used to average about 90 (kph honest :p ) when I was 18, scared to get above 70 now I'm older and wiser, but it still feels just as fast!

Edit - won't show the proper route, oops!!!
