Do you lie?

I once told my primary school teacher that my parents had won the lottery. They hadn't and didn't even play it. But he had the best response ever which was, "well don't tell everyone or they'll want some of it".

I also lied to @Blackvault when we were 8 or 9 and told him my dad has a company car which was a rolls royce. He neither had a company car nor a rolls royce, he drove round in a Fiat Uno. Fortunately we've stayed friend ever since.
I was sorely disappointed that your dad didn't have a Rolls... Unfriend.

Sometimes it’s best to lie. For these reasons:
. Not to upset people
. Keep things simple
. To end a conversation/leave

I hate people that lie and can see through the lies.

One thing I don’t like is customers claim that they always buy a certain item from my store last week and never shop anywhere else. Some of these items we haven’t sold for a few years! Don’t lie to me that you DO visit other shops!

When I found out that AIDS was a virus, and then was subsequently told I had a virus when I was 6 or 7 or so, I naturally assumed that I had AIDS, so went around telling everybody I had AIDS.
I remember there was a playground chase or clapping game featuring HIV or/AIDS. Remember the head asking us not to do this game as not funny

Actually I just remembered another one.

I was probabnly about 14 my mates mum when I was round his house was going on holiday to america and asked if I had ever been and I said yes.

But then to try and cover it up I said I was little at the time and couldnt remember much about it.

Halfway through I thought…”interesting”….felt let down though :D

Absolutely although nothing major springs to mind.

I lie at work all the time, late to conference calls or reasons for just not attending etc. For clarity we have lots of pointless calls of zero value.

I can't be bothered to lie. I treat people how I want to be treated myself.

The only person you're really lying to is yourself. Why compromise your own integrity for someone else?

The problem with lying is then you have to remember the lie you've told. That takes up too much energy for me to bother with it.

Very, very rare that I will tell a lie, I dont see the point. You tend to need a good memory if you tell lies and I am at an age I can barely even remember what I did yesterday, so I dont make a very good liar hence I dont bother
