Tattoos definitely insulator the body.
My winky isn't tattoo'd and suffers from the cold weather, think turtles head, whilst the tattoo locations are lovely and warm.

Tattoos were originally used as a way to mark retards, hence to term "mark of the retard". Guess it's stuck a little, given the fact its been pointed out tattoos show a lack of intelligence.

The word, tattoo originates from the Tahitian word ta-ttau, which means "to mark" but it is believed tattooing was practiced much earlier "to mark retard", the earliest known was Otzi, a retarded caveman, established from cranial x ray, had tattoos on his lower spine
 
Was out today and in a crowded venue. Most people wearing coats or a few layers. Saw one bloke wearing shorts and sure enough sporting a calf sleeve.
 
maybe these t shirt and tats are part of their Zuck metaverse personna .. what do they cost in crypto.

none of the regulars at the swimming pool this morning have tats .. or they are very intimately located.
 
Nearly 30 years on I designed tattoo's for my closest mates. They all went through and got them inked. Nervous was an understatement. :eek: It was years before Williams and Beckham and as mainstream tat's are now.

My tip if you are going to get a tattoo, keep the design simple and clean so it stands the test of time, as your skin ages it loses its tautness and complicated designs end up a horrible blue blur of a mess when you grow 'old'.

30 years on, well, I still have my same friends. :p I have been assured that they still stand the test of time and none bore any grudges, so I take that as a compliment they weren't too shoddy.

No tattoos personally, never fancied. I do find the criminal underworld tat's fascinating, wouldn't mimic though!

Wasn't there someone famous that got their Chinese tattoo translated and it meant "chicken soup"? :D

Colder weather? It's still about 15c here.

TBH I usually default to a hoodie and shorts unless it's properly cold. If it helps I have 3 tattoos but only one is visible in that attire.
