Do you like to get your Tats out for the Lads?

Feels very elitist in here.

Why does something that someone else does to their bodies willingly anger/upset you all so much?

it exemplifies how social media influences trends & behaviour, versus individuality/personal freedom.

interesting podcast on r4 https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001f4y7
greeks&romans only had them on criminals, hadn't appreciated you can have tattoos that will naturally disappear over 3/4 years https://news.artnet.com/art-world/otzi-the-iceman-tattoo-show-2036395,
That doesn't hold any weight - what about people who got tattoos in the 30's until the early 2000's where there was no social media aside from newspapers?

I have no tattoos but wear shorts most of the time. I suffer from Anxiety so I’m always running pretty hot and rarely get cold legs.

I have thought about getting a tattoo but never got any further.

It's another aspect of tribalism, about fitting in and being cool. The very vocal aversion to tattoos is a kind of Hipsterism, in that regard.
You will tend to find that people like this flock together. They find their people and collectively dismiss as a 'trend' of 'retards' something that humans have been doing for thousands of years.

Mostly their slaves, I understood, though it was adopted by the late Roman Army to mark their soldiers with SPQR and so on.

I've often thought about getting a tattoo but couldn't decide on what to get and where I'd have it done. It has to mean something, right?

There was a video on youtube I think, a spoof I'm sure, of a lass who get's her boyfriends name tattooed - "I love Curt" but due to the font used it looked like it said and meant something else entirely.
