Do you moisturize?

Never in my life, i couldn't imagine telling or even asking my father if he moisturized lol, he would say that men are turning into women.

Just drink plenty of fluids and you shuld be fine.

1: Drinking lots of water certainly helps, but it isn't always enough if you have flaky or hypersensitive skin.

The only thing worth doing is protecting your skin from the Sun, other than that water is sufficient.

2: The whole "real men don't moisturise" meme is stupid and trying to propagate is makes you look like a Neanderthal. Not all guys wants to be knuckle-dragging deep-grunting hairy he-men.

You do not need to be a Neanderthal to realise that all you are doing is bowing to media induced hype and the vast majority of products aimed at men are a waste of money and all you need to do is drink plenty of water, eat a healthy balanced diet and stop putting chemicals onto and into your body.

Quit stripping your skin of it's natural oils and you will have no need of expensive facial treatments and other such marketed nonsense.

There is nothing knuckle dragging about that, it is simply common sense.

True. Some of us cannot avoid contact with oils, etc. Cannot run a machine wearing gloves, and barrier creams only do so much.

Curious, you say stop stripping your skin of natural oils, what do you wash with?

only after I shave with a razor. Normally I just trim my stubble back with an electric shaver. Shaved with a razor this week for the second time this year. :)

Just luke warm water and satsuma or beeswax soap. Hot water and slapping loads of product on your skin is unnecessary and simply strips your skin.

I have never had acne, flaky or dry skin. I go anywhere near moisturiser, then I start to have problems.

If you have skin problems, use E45, and ditch all the other stuff, and stop using water that is too hot, that is where most people have issues.

99% of the stuff you buy is worse than useless and is no better than soap and water.

Moisturise and facial scrub twice a week. Ah Nivea for Men, creating gay men for 10 years :D

Its the modern day equivalent of rubbing dirt in your face to remove dead skin then having a shower afterwards.

Same. Makes a visible difference to my skin I find. After a few days of washing with just regular old water, my skin looks considerably darker, dirtier and drier than when I do scrub/moisturise.

I get dry lips sometimes (not because of lack of water, before you say ;) ) and i carry a small tub of 'green' (Aloe Vera) Vaseline, i'd say it's much more effective, and practical than E45.

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial masque which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion. There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman. Some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me. Only an entity. Something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours, and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.
:D
