For some reason, yes.

The black doesn't print anymore, mainly just hung onto it for scanning but seeing as that's needed once in a blue moon it just takes up space really.

I have a multi-purpose laser colour laser / scanner / fax (!). Only used fax once or twice - does anybody use fax now? HP but use non HP cartridges (1st set lasted years!). Retired so no "works" printer. Very useful for helping grandchildrens' GCSE revision.

Blimey! I haven't used a fax machine in well over a decade and if I did need to use it I'd do email to fax rather than use an actual fax machine.

Always had a printer, I can't do without one.

Never brought anything special, usually bog standard colour inkjet. Usually all-in-one with scanner as find that useful at times.

Currently using an Epson XP-4150, owned since about 2022.

I realised a long time ago that I didn't need a colour printer, so B&W laser works fine.

It still frustrates me how often I'm expect to print stuff out - often for government paperwork where I've got to post in copies of documents. Why they don't have digital submission of more documents is absolutely beyond me. I am sitting here printing off PDFs to put them in the post and gamble that they turn up on time.

I used expensive b+w lasers for a very long time but after the last two failed I found a color inkjet for £6 in a charity shop.
I learnt how to give it a quick clean and service on youtube and bought cheap aftermarket ink to get it working properly again.
Works flawlessly and I hope will keep going for several years.

Yes, a Canon liquid ink tank thingamybob.

The ink lasts ages and is dirt cheap to replace.

A 24, got to be coming up 25 year old Kyocera-Mita FS-3800 mono laser, bought it from a company I worked for when it closed down. Handy for the odd bulk print job (kids worksheets, practise exams etc). Still have spare toner in the garage. :)

A HP Officejet Pro MFP, used mainly for scanning it seems, more user friendly than the old laser for the rest of the family.
