Do you take naps?

Do any of the people who nap need to nap?

Or is it like it is for me, just an added bonus and enjoyable extra bit of snoozing :)

I think it's this and bordem as well as me just feeling sleep when on the move, be it car, plain or train.

Take plenty of naps, if I'm not driving I'm nearly always asleep. Then depending on the job, often get to sleep on nightshirts as well.

Im recharged now, i had a late night, had no calls coming in earlier this aft and managed 20 winks with my head on my hand. :D

Up until recently I thought that I simply needed a nap due to me getting a little older, though that's unlike me to think like that since I really don't believe it deep down, and maybe I was just using that as an excuse. I can't speak for others, but in my case I found out that all it was simply telling me to do was get more sleep at night, thus no naps now required. I find I need 7.5 hours as a healthy average amount.

Someone posted this the other week, I think I have found it of some benefit :

Very very rarely, unless I have an important something to do or am plain exhausted.

I sleep longer on the weekends if possible.

Just went for a 5 minute one at work but it was 45 minutes in the end, doh!

I sometimes HAVE TO nap, and fall asleep anyway even if I don't want to

Yup - power nap at work for 40mins after lunch so my lunchtimes are generally about and hour long. We have various rooms dotted about the site that have futons especially for this :-)

Generally take another 30 mins about 6pm when I get in from work before tea whilst the kids are winding down.

Don't work Mondays or Fridays and take about an hours nap on those days about 1pm.

I'm off for a 'nap' now. I say nap, do naps usually last 5-6 hours because I want to nod off for a bit i.e an hour or so, not 6.

Nap time for me starts @ 16:40.

Will post back when I get up and see how long i've slept. :D
