Weird, I was discussing this the other day.
We we're talking about the issues this may throw up for future generations. If you don't "have" to pull up information then will it affect the minds ability to do so further down the line. The mind, after all, is very much like the other organs in your body, it can be strengthened, it degrades, it can be exercised to maintain it.
Will Google damage the human race's long term memory capability?
All the time. And for everything and anything to absorb as much knowledge as possible.
Google is like a library, only better. No shame in gooling, 12+ years ago if you didn't know an answer or couldn't remember you either never found out or had to trek to a local uni reference library or worse wait a week for an inter library loan.
I use Google daily
Really? I was using Google 12 years ago, in fact, even 13 years ago, when it was released, in 1998.
I go straight to google even when I'm too lazy to spell a word.
I mean like when I know how to spell somethng but just can't be arsed to type it out properly. So I just bash the keyboard a bit, with the letters vaguely in the right order, then just let google do the rest. Then copy/pasta.
