DOA4

Yup damm distracting :D

Been enjoying the game so far, need to put the practice in to get good.

Yeah, after the post in my other thread (about wages!!), thought I'd finish early and have a play.

Impressed so far, really good, only practising with the characters before I go into story mode, but so far so good.

I can't get mine to work. I am running in 480p and when I put it in and go and play it the game gets to the screen where it says press start to play it and whatever I do the game will not recognise at i am pressing start. I have tried changing controller, turning it on and off and still the game will not recognise me pressing the start button. It will let me go to the dashboard though from the game? I am running through component so how can it be the pal 60 thing?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Right i've solved this but I think it's a fault with the game. If I am running in component then 50/60 option does not exist. To get DOA to work you have to turn Xbox 360 off. Then switch the cable in back of Xbox 360 from HDTV to normal. Turn on Xbox 360 and set PAL to 60. Then turn off again and switch cable back in to HDTV position. Once you have done this you can then play the game. Hope this helps people but as I said the game shouldn't do that if you are running in component and I worry that some people won't figure that out.

Still enjoying it, can't play it to save my life, don't get the story mode (I thought it was a story not just endless fighting), and managed to last without getting KO'd up to 8 players in the time-attack thing.

Manual is lousy yeah, but it's kinda addictive.

Can't work out how to block or move out of the way in time though :(

I can't believe the 60Hz issue is causing so much interest and complaints.

I've used 60Hz where possible since i had an imported Snes and Mega Drive in the late '80s/ early '90s. I longed for the days where 17% slow down and top and bottom borders would be a thing of the past. Especially when i got a PAL Saturn and PSX (especially on the PSX, as the 50/60Hz selection was done in the software).

Finally, we get there (Ok, it's only one game, but it took 16 years), and it's on a console that needs an HDTV to get the best out of it! Not only that, but people without HDTVs (of which i'm one btw) start moaning. I haven't owned a TV that couldn't handle 60Hz since the '80s, and i've had about 10 since. First thing i did when i got both the 360 and the original Xbox, is set 60Hz in the dashboard.

Got mine now :)

Getting seriously owned in single player mode - I know a lot of the basic combo's/throws/counters but just can't seem to get a blow in edgeways most of the time :(

I'll be about tomorrow afternoon and then late evening for a beating :)
