DOA4

My Copy of DOA4 from VGP just went shipped, ordered it on sunday arvo :)

Fingers crossed ill be booting it up thursday or even tomorrow !!

Oh, and they cleverly mark it as '$20 toy game' so its less likely to get stung for import tax, which I have never had with them. :D

Oooh mine might be there tonight, although Im having Sky + installed today as well so it looks like there may be quite a bit of tinkering going on tonight :D

I ordered mine Friday and it shipped on Friday so I'll hopefully have it tomorrow :)
 
Hmmmm I'm off to Canada in a couple of weeks time, I may look at picking this up... holiday is going to get more expensive...
 
Just got mine in post this morning, first thoughts are same as the last DOA game i played, complete rubbish (comparing it to a similar game, Tekken 5).

Then again I will give it some more time and learn how to play the game properly.

Still it does seem pretty week and to be honest I had 3 fights then put big brother back on...

Hardly a review, just first impression, anyway... I only bought it because I heard you could unlock Chuck Norris. I don't see him anywhere so im sending it back!

Obviously im joking, I've barely played the game, im sure it's very good and all, it'll just take a little while to get into. I did hear the online is terrible though which is a shame.

Hmm, that's annoying. My copy arrived today but I'm having issues. Game starts up fine but doesn't respond to any buttons at all - pressing start at the title screen does absolutely nothing. Tried all 3 of my pads too :(

Edit: Ok so changing from PAL50 to PAL60 solved that problem. How strange. No doubt it would've been fine via the VGA cable too.

Ive got it coming this week, but i bought it mainly for my daughters, who are DOA addicts. Ive heard the content might not be suitable though, could someone comment on it after playing?

Try cleaning the Disk my copy of RR6 would not load until i cleaned it then all was fine

Worth a try for you mate.

I solved it - for some reason changing it from PAL50 (which I had it set to for DVD playback reasons) to PAL60 fixed the problem. I know it's an NTSC game and will therefore be 60Hz on standard TVs, but it's odd how it stopped the controller responding at all :)
 
i dont think il buy DOA, i remember when mortal kombat came out on the ps2, the gfx were great at the time, and it was fun, for a few weeks, the gameplay gets very tiresome after awhile, although OCUK tourneys would be fun i suppose, i imagine that once a lot of 360 games have come out there will be a lot of copies of this game in the preowned section, pick up then for the bargain price.

however i havent seen the game yet, so tempt me with screenies and reviews lol
