Surely its ok asking someone if there selling smoething? Just as long as the actual "Deal" isnt made in any other forum apart from MM.

Thats what i thought anyway.

Paul ...

Iv been told before a while back No mention of buying and seeling outside of the MM.

If Davey comes in this thread can you refresh the rules on this plz, cheers.

I solved it - for some reason changing it from PAL50 (which I had it set to for DVD playback reasons) to PAL60 fixed the problem. I know it's an NTSC game and will therefore be 60Hz on standard TVs, but it's odd how it stopped the controller responding at all :)

Ahh thats why i i didint have that prob with RR6 then as iv allways run mine in PAL60 mode.

i dont think il buy DOA, i remember when mortal kombat came out on the ps2, the gfx were great at the time, and it was fun, for a few weeks, the gameplay gets very tiresome after awhile, although OCUK tourneys would be fun i suppose, i imagine that once a lot of 360 games have come out there will be a lot of copies of this game in the preowned section, pick up then for the bargain price.

however i havent seen the game yet, so tempt me with screenies and reviews lol
Im not tha fussed about it really, only reason I bought it was for my lass as she liked DOA3. Doesnt take a lot to think about, whack the buttons and thats about it as far as she cares.

Ok, fair enough, cant see the harm in just asking though. Rules are rules.

How are you guys changing from Pal50 to Pal60 and vice versa ?? I cant see this option available anywhere (using Premium component cables).

HDTV settings run 60hz mate, you can only choose 50 / 60 when using scart or vga i think.

Paul ...

Yeah you only get the 50/60Hz options with composite (I think) or the advanced scart cable. You'll have no problems with component or VGA - just tried my VGA cable and it's fine also.

Yeah well dont quote me on that mate someone about 8 months or so ago told me the same so..

I dont want to see any1 getting wrong thats all :)

Well, I really enjoyed Dead or Alive 4 on the go I was able to give it earlier. Nice, fast, fluent and some of the backgrounds are amazing.

Counter-moves are also a lot more difficult and some of them are amazing. Completed it with Kasumi, ending a little odd, but amusing and enjoyable. Very good CGI.

Also, congratulations on a good boss, and managing to get a decent storyline for each fighter (for a fighting game). I enjoyed the 2 sub-boss battles too where more story unfolds. Very nice.

Nokkon - sounds very promising :D I'll hopefully be playing this by tomorrow. Be nice to see the step up for a game that they've taken a little longer to complete than the launch line up :D Next stop, Ghost Recon ;)

Just booted mine, and it looks/runs/plays superbly! So smooth! :D

One thing, I'm running my 360 through my 17" TFT and have it set to 1280x1024, which displays Kameo / Condemned etc fine in 720p. But DOA4 is 4:3 for some reason. I mean its not stretched, its the correct aspect ratio, its just fullscreen 4:3, is it supposed to be proper widescreen 720p? If so any ideas?

I never tried on my monitor as I normally get horrific borders, so I went and played it on the Plasma screen downstairs, it was perfect widescreen.

Also, no, not played online yet, my Xbox Live! Gold account ran out on January 8th. Need another one.

Also, for anyone who remembers my Birthday thread, this was also a Birthday present off another friend. (the Boyfriend of the Girl who got me Kameo).

Has anyone had to pay import tax from the canadian place?

I haven't and I don't think many people, if any, will have had to. The envelope's customs form was marked as toy/game and the value put down as $20. Seems like this is standard so there shouldn't be a problem.

Oh, and am I just really crap at games or is this a lot harder than just about any other fighting game there is?

I'm no hardcore fighter, but this is tough! Get to stage 8 on story mode and thats it, I just cannot win. Got extreeeemley close once, but other than that im getting destroyed. Game is superb though, really fast and looks awesome.

Need to learn the moves/counters.

It does seem tough, but there appears to be lots of moves.
Completed it with Kasumi without much bother, she has the most awesome kick when getting up, does some serious damage.
