Moving soon to a new place in Shadwell and want to find a different way to get to work...current commute would be the DLR and tube but does anyone have an interesting commute?

Eg hoverboard? Fold up bike? Rollerblade?

Yup - bored tonight. :o :p

seen them drone things can carry heavier and heavier payloads, how long before someone just slings a hammock under it and flies himself to work?

I walk, which is not massively interesting, but all my students think I'm crazy, as everyone here is born on a scooter. Takes about 45 minutes each way, which is nice now, but a bit of a pain when it's mid-30s in the Summer.

My walk does take me past 2 tanks, 7 temples, a church built to look like a temple, some tennis courts and usually at least one traffic accident though. Makes it more interesting.

There's people who commute via cable carts (Air Emirates) in London or via the Thames Clipper which is pretty cool.

Wasn't there some...loser...who commutes via scooter (as in the foot powered kind) on here?

I wanted to buy a plot of land next to an inlet and commute to town/work by boat and/or kayak, but apparently my other half didn't like the idea, even when I suggested we just get two boats. :(

I used to just walk into another room off our living room but now I have to walk upstairs. Probably about as boring as it gets.

I do have to operate 2 baby gates on the way to add a little bit of frustration to my commute.

A friend of mine uses a Elliptigo cycle to travel into work - around 7 miles or so, and he's about 6'5"

I've seen him cycle past and people tend to "go what the hell..." :)
