Does anyone get embarrassed really easily?

I used to feel incredibly embarassed, lacked confidence up until I was about 14, now I learn the trick is just to laugh things off, and at the end of the day their opinion doesn't actually affect you.
Got plenty of confidence now, almost too much ;)
Sure it's just temporary mate.

Used to happen to me all the time in high school, but kind of went away after that. Hardly ever happens now that im at college.

I basically dont give a damn what anyone thinks anymore, although it really is impossible for me to do a talk infront of a group of people without my head almost exploding :o

i used to get reallly embaressed but then now i dont.. as just if you do a talk in front of the class, just keep thinking "dont get embaressed" and speak normally. dont focus on peoples eyes... and thats really bad help.. but ne way.. just dont think that your gnna do sumin stupid cos wen u do u get embaressed then get even more embaressed. keep your cool

i use to get it all the time m8 u aint the only 1. I could talk to some girls fine in school but others i just went sheepish around and wanted to make convo just not sound stupid :(

Seem to be getting better now tho but in some situations like when i need to make a good impression or get my point across i can get a bit shy/embarrased which dont really help :(

I do, doesn't help at work, I'm a supervisor at work and do a lot of face to face "heated conversations" with customers, makes me feel a bit stupid and I hate it but I don't let it affect me. It happens quite a lot in other situations too, all down to the anxiety I know I suffer from.

Basically it’s all down to your amygdala and Hippocampus in the brain, and how they interpret situations and react to them, they tend to judge the current situation against past ones and can totally misinterpret it as a threat. Because its seen as a threat adrenaline (and other stuff) is released, typically its released to prepare the body for a flight or fight situation, but these responses aren’t applicable in these circumstances and so instead the adrenaline has to find another way of dissipating, heating up the body is just one of these (through either increasing your heart rate, tightening your chest muscles etc) and capillaries on the face raise to the surface and fill with blood to let the body cool down. Apparently the body works on a series of paradoxes, so if you try to blush even more then it will have the opposite effect but I haven't mastered this yet.

Blimey mate, good post.

I only get embarrassed when buying computer games from a place in canterbury. Theres this nice american girl that works there I bet she thinks look at all these sad losers buying games lol. :)

I can't get embarrassed anymore, last week my mate sent a picture of my **** to a girl I really fancy, now I've been to the bottom of the barrel nothing can be worse.

Justt out of interest, to the op, do you suffer any other symptoms or just the blushing. I don't think that it and anxiety are connected but they definatly go hand in hand for some people. I do quite a lot of reading up on this kinda stuff so if anyone wants any more information then I'll try and help.

I dont know, you look a bit red in your sig. This happens to my younger brother all the time, but the worst thing is all his chav college mates have cottoned on to this. They say "Sean dont go red" and imediatly he goes bright red :D , they just laugh about it and find it funny, i dont think it bothers him.
