Does the Wireless 360 pad in Windows still have problems?

A few years back, support for the wireless controller was intermittent and game dependent, as in rumble not working or the controller not working at all.

Does it still have such issues or does it work OK and mirror the wired pad now?

Mine works 100% m8, the actual receiver is on 24/7 as well and has been for a year

I used the wired pad for years.
I bought a wireless pad a few months ago and it works equally as well as the wired one did. I have never heard of any issues with the wireless pads.

Ditto. - I only bought the receiver because I had four controllers for the Xbox, but there's only the wife and I.

Some of the functions may be game dependant, but it seems to be better supported than the Logitech wired PS-2 style one I had before.

After using it for about a year, mine decided to refuse to connect unless it was plugged in with its battery removed. It was really weird, I assumed the battery pack was knackered but after looking online, it seemed to be a common problem with wireless pads.

Basically they can get a bit confused sometimes for no reason

After faffing with the cable for a bit (plugging it in half way then yanking it out a few times, plugging it in and pulling it out in quick succession etc.) it somehow kicked the controller into recognising the battery again and it's been fine ever since.

Don't think I've ever had an issue with a wireless X360 pad itself. I've had a receiver that decided to stop working, but I discovered that was due to my iffy front USB ports (I think they were providing too much power and they killed every device I tried plugging in).

Iv had mine for a few years now, and the receiver is on 24/7, no problems yet.

the receivers are made of cheese. Never any problems with the pads though. That reminds me, I need a new receiver lol.

When I had my controller, I never had a single issue. Was absolutely flawless.

I've had my pad for years and still works perfectly. The receiver did stop working, but I replaced it with a £6 one from ebay and it worked fine.

Been using a wireless pad/receiver since the moment the receiver came out spread over 2 PC builds. It's been rock solid and flawless here on Win7.

Just upgraded to a wireless from a wired to allow me to play games in the next room.

I've noticed no difference at all. OcUK still sell the pack with the pad and the official MS receiver, which is rare as they stopped making the receiver a few years back.

I have four wireless controllers connected up to the one receiver, works perfectly!

Works fine apart from the receivers packing in from time to time due to a flaw in the design-they last longer if you don't unplug them, but they can be fixed by help of guides afaik.

The controller however is more or less bulletproof though.
