Does this depress anyone else?

Very good. One car can be had for £1500, the other at least £20k. Obviously a saxo is not being compared to an M3 here.

Oh and **** off with your stereotyping :)

oi oi! calm down!!:p

Fair do's, the saxo can beat the M3.

Is it impressive? Certainly comes as a shock! And i guess becuase it is a small car, it will have good handling as i found quite a lot of small cars do.

It is depressing to see such a thing, but it has been done, so i'll bow down and say fair plays!

You were right.:o

grrrrrrrr

BMW M3 Supercharged Kit (including fitting and mapping), and a Front Mounter Intercooler...from Bavarian Autosport = £3260.44

So....yes!

Fair enough, just when my next door neighbor was thinking about supercharging his M3 before he got his 911 he was quoted around £9k for one fitted and mapped iirc.

Yeah, I dont know why...the most expensive one i've seen is $9k USD which comes in at about what £5k or so...

Some UK companies just premium the price because its a BMW, its actually quite a simple conversion on the E46 M3

Well the M5 owner was a tube for a start and removed all grip from his tyres with that pointless burnout (which he probably thought would help warm his tyres up, but instead he shined them causing loss of grip!)

In addition, I knew from the SECOND that S60s Turbo came on boost that the M5 had no chance!!

Sad to say, but I find that particular volvo sexhy! :D

i dont see the problem at all you all say 'willy 17yo spent 10k on his saxo and its stilla 1.1' now this guy comes and beats an M3 its 'well its still just rubbish. i am right. ok' lol
i love sleepers and especially small shopping trollys and i have just been to france in a 525d and its is a verry verry VERRY nice car i really was impressed. but my nova was faster. my minis faster still and i would still choose my mini (the novas no compotition tho obviusly. lol) so bang for buck i would chooce the saxo over the M3, aslong as it has no silly bodykit:)

:P

All part of the appeal for some folk!

I used to have a Mk1 Sierra, 4 speed 'box with a 2.0 engine (BVH, twin choke Weber)
It cost me £90, the engine was er..... donated :|

At the time it would drop my mate's £6,500 Cavalier SRi 16v at any speed under 100, which really, really upset him.

This thread makes me chortle.

From the OMGZ! THERE ARE CARS FASTER THAN T E H M3?!?! to the IT *** BE WELL PWND ON THE TWISTIES, YO.
